*UPDATE on Nail Gate HERE
Apparently my nail salon has an attendance policy. Been going here for years, got my nails done for my wedding. Now I’m just trying to get a divorce pedicure…I guess not.
Edit to add: The gift card was one of his final gifts to me this past Christmas. Not expired.

This was supposed to be a chocolate mousse. It tastes so bitter with an underlying banana taste.
EDIT: Just to clarify, my mother is NOT abusive and she does NOT have an eating disorder. I was just complaining about how strict she was. Please stop commenting stuff like that.
EDIT 2: I was just annoyed I didn't get chocolate mousse when I was promised to. It's rude to assume things about her and me. I just thought other people would share similar experiences and that it would be fun to read.

Hate is a strong word.
I’ve heard my entire husband’s side of the family gripe about grandma (Dad in Law’s mom) for about a decade now. It always seemed like little things that just made me sad for her because ‘aww she’s just old.’
Well. Grandma came over with the fam for a quick visit. Just a pass through. Maybe 40 minutes.
In that time, grandma makes her way up to my tiny garden up the hill and starts plucking away at my peppers. Proudly shows me the load and tells me I wasn’t paying attention to my garden because I had all these peppers ready.
They were all green.
I told her they were red peppers and hadn’t had the chance to turn red yet. Her response: “Well they won’t turn red now.”
And just walked off.
If there had been SOME REMORE OR APOLOGY, I could get past it but it was her “sucks for you” old ass attitude…. Thank god my husband understands because the way I ranted and raved that afternoon.

I was confused about the first note, because stall 92 had something other than a pickup in it the first day (the notes are from 92). I parked pretty much identical the 2nd day (when I got the other 2 notes), which is shown in the picture. My bumper is against the wall. I just emailed management and told them to move me to a different spot

Ordered some groceries from Zepto today, including an "Organically Grown Lemon" for ₹40. It arrived completely discolored and rotten. Annoying, but usually a quick refund process, right? Nope.
When you go to the Help & Support section to report a "Stale or rotten" item, Zepto makes it absolutely MANDATORY to upload a photo of the product. Fair enough, I have the rotten lemon right here.
But here is the impossible loop they trap you in:
You select the item and the issue.
You tap to add the mandatory photo.
The camera opens, you take a clear picture, and hit "OK".
The app immediately crashes. It flashes the purple Zepto splash screen and dumps you right back onto the main home page.
Your complaint progress? Completely erased. I recorded my screen and tried this three separate times just to be sure. It failed in the exact same way every single time.
You literally cannot submit a refund request because the mandatory upload feature is fundamentally broken. Whether this is a highly convenient "glitch" or intentional anti-consumer design, it’s a remarkably effective way for them to keep my money after selling me garbage.
Has anyone else been trapped in this refund loop recently? Make sure to screen-record if you are!

I was drinking vodka soda. Total bullshit. If it’s only for shots, say shots. Drinks definitely connotes basic cocktails like liquor and mixer.

There were no glass between us, and it was like having a dinner for four. We could hear perfectly what they were saying to each other and the same thing goes for them too.
I understand that if there are few customers, usually restaurants try to put them in the same area so it’s easier to clean at the end of the shift, but there were also other tables nearby but not attached to ours

I informed the nurse that I have albuterol and prenatals with me and she said that if I were to take them, they’d have to be checked into the hospital, given back to me, and they’d charge me for “administering my medication”.
Hospitals are a joke smh

I received a response…..
Have I really been going there for years?
Yes. About 10 years, off and on. The owner knows me by name, knows my stepdaughter by name, did my wedding nails, and I know her very sweet goldendoodle.
Was this always a tiny one-person salon?
No. It’s roughly 2,000 sq ft with about 10 pedicure chairs, 6 nail stations, waxing, etc. The one-person private salon setup is new.
When was I last there?
August 2025.
Why the gap?
It was honestly a really heavy year, and my toes were not exactly the crisis requiring intervention. If the marriage/divorce saga is of interest, my post history is open for business.
Did I demand a next-day appointment or expect to be squeezed in?
No. I asked if they happened to have availability because I was free. I’m also a sole business owner, so “we do not have room for you tomorrow” is not a concept I struggle to grasp.
Why did I say I was “fired”?
Because it was a joke. I was not on payroll. No severance package is forthcoming.
Why does the gift card matter?
My husband gave it to me for Christmas because this was a salon I actually went to. It was not something I pulled from the depths of a junk drawer next to an expired Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.
TL;DR: “My” nail salon turned out to be more of a limited-membership situation. I missed the six-month cutoff, became a new client, and apparently lost my right to pass Go and collect the disposable flip-flops

My wife will not take her keys out of her car at night, it drives me insane. Every night before I go to bed I have to go outside and search for her keys so I can bring them inside, there’s nothing in the car worth stealing so I’m not worried about locking it as much as I am someone stealing the car. Tempted to call one of my good friends to come take the car out of the driveway one night while we are sleeping to teach her a lesson

I have no issue with ignoring the button, except that it visually blocks some data. Having to scroll a bit to see what it's blocking is mildly infuriating.
(I haven't checked yet if you can disable it like the lazy bum I am)

I missed my train for 5 minutes because my bus came to the station with a delay. Now I have to wait for 4.5 hours for the next one, on which there were no seats, so I'll have to stand for another 7 hours.
It's MILDLY infuriating, because I have a nice place to wait while watching anime☺️ Could be worse😀
Edit: The bus was international and we were stuck on the border for 6 hours and 5 minutes. I had 6 hours to spare, actually, and expected to cross the border in like 2 hours, as usual. But this time there were a few stupid unexpected coincidental reasons for the delay😭 I'm not blaming anyone, trains are running on schedule, I just thought that it's ridiculous to ride for 12 hours and miss so tiny time of 5 minutes 😅

Recently moved to NY and it’s been one nonsense issue after another. Latest issue is I need a tinted windows exemption sticker to have our cars pass a state inspection. A signed doctors note or proof of sending the application itself wont do, the sticker is the end all be all, and that sticker takes 3-4 months to get once submitting an application. The dilemma is that once I’ve registered the cars with New York state, I have 10 days to get an inspection done. Should’ve applied for the sticker in advance right? No, because you need the registration first to even apply for it.
So now my options are: (1) Rip the tint off and pay thousands of dollars to retint all our cars later. (2) Drive around without state inspection for 3-4 months hoping to not get fined. (3) Keep on going to different car shops hoping one of them will not care or not notice the lack of a tint exemption sticker.

My wife and I have been scratching our heads over and over again, trying to figure out this elementary school homework. Why does the clause in the left box start with a capital “I” and end in a period? Why is the second clause just a lower case word? Why does the third one start capitalized but have no period like the first one? Who or what is “dog”?
Edit 1: Hi, thanks for everyone’s comments and questions. Just adding a little more context based on some of the comments. No, my wife and I weren’t doing his homework, he came to us for help because he was completely perplexed about what it was asking. No, the homework didn’t come with an additional handout (as far as we know), and it’s not printed on the back lol. Yes, knowing my kid it’s possible he daydreamed in class and missed out on this part of the lesson 🤣🤣🤣, but since the homework asks him to put the phrases in correct sequence, I also think it’s unlikely that they were expected to have memorized the poem. It’s much more likely that there’s handout that’s missing. Which begs the question, if one was given, did he lose it 🤔? Again, knowing my son, totally possible. Lastly, yes the copy quality of the handout is rough…

I’ve been training with him for about 3 months now. I’ve renewed sessions twice. He texted me this last night….. as if I’m responsible for his finances and his breakup with the mother of his child. I don’t even know how to respond.
