Had a good run, it's about two or three years old now. Great shifter, just decided to randomly break while I was playing BeamNG.

Went from a 45" LG OLED ultra wide to tripples. The ability to battle, omg. So much more confidence when slicing and dicing early in a race, or when you have a 10 min battle with someone.... Bliss!

I recently got into rally racing. So I switched to my old ES round wheel. I still had it on the r3 wheelbase in storage which is where I wanna keep that base for now. So now I have no place to plug this wheel in since I wanna keep it nearby. Is this bad for the wheel?

I have cats walking here so hair could be an issue.

First things first, I love it, its more than i could have ever dreamed of. Its a Rigmetal so i was a bit worried cause its a smaller company but i love it. My only complaint is after only a 30 minute session, my lower back was absolutely killing me and im not super sure why. I think it might be my pedal hight but ill attach a picture and you guys can tell me otherwise.

Built this out of some scrap wood I had. Not pretty but it works good. Running an RS50 wheel with RS pedals. Got the seat from a wrecking yard out of a Subaru. I’ve been having a blast with it.

Finally got a sim racing setup. I'm using an office and it keeps rolling backwards. Any suggestion for solutions?

I'm coming to realize that the rig is never actually finished.

Are there any quality of life upgrades, hardware upgrades, or pieces of software that you can't imagine racing without anymore?

After folding my brand new nlr gt lite pro i found metal pin found in picture on the floor. Upon re assembeling the cockpit everything seems to work as normal. Pin seems to be broken off on both sides. Its has some black raidue and orange parts but its mostly silver. Any help?

I recently bought a Moza R3 base and I'm planning to upgrade my setup in the future by adding a clutch pedal and a dedicated shifter.

Naturally, I first looked into staying within the Moza ecosystem with the Moza HGP, but I’ve read and heard from several reviews that the shift action is extremely stiff/heavy, which made me want to explore other options before making a decision.

My budget is around $100 to $180, and after doing some research, I've narrowed it down to these candidates:

• Logitech RS Shifter (~$160)
• Moza HGP (~$150)
• SHH Shifter (~$140)
• Turtle Beach VelocityOne Shifter (~$140)
• Simsonn Shifter (~$130)

I’d love to hear your thoughts and personal experiences with any of these:

1. Which one offers the best shift feel and durability for the price?
2. For those who own the Moza HGP, is it actually as stiff as people say, or is it manageable in day-to-day use?
3. Are there any other hidden gems in this price bracket I should consider?

Et oui, qui n'a pas déjà hésité à passer en dynamique sur son chassis, lui déjà passé en profilé alu.

Mais voilà... le portefeuille (ou madame) s'y opposent... On trouve pas mal de systèmes officiels déjà sans les nommer, et en général ils commencent à 3K€. Ils commencent, car en général si on veut plus puissant pouvant porter plus de poids ou des temps de réaction plus élevés, il faut remettre, 1K€, 2K€... voir plus... on arrive vite à dépasser les 4K€.

Sur AliExpress, oui c'est chinois, vous trouverez un système complet à moins de 2K€. Oui vous lisez bien, ceci taxes et frais de transport inclus.

Voici le lien de ce système chez le vendeur COMPONENTS EXPLORERS SHOP. Avant de cliquer dessus, vous risquez de tomber sur une erreur 404. Assurez vous de choisir en haut à droite de la page, le PAYS = Australie ou encore Canada.

Pour les frais de transport, vous pourrez encore les réduire de 200-300€. Comment? Il faut discuter avec le revendeur qui vous indiquera la marche à suivre. Car il faut

- passez commande sans payer (googlez/youtubez ca, j'ai trouvé facilement)

- prévenir le vendeur que c'est commandé,

- il applique le changement de tarif et transport, bref, ce qui a été convenu par 'chat'

- il vous préviens quand c'est fait

- vous payez (toujours par AliExpress évidemment, vous restez protégé)

- et c'est parti :)

La préparation de l'envois prend en général 1-2 semaines grand max, et le transport en lui même peut prendre 1-2 mois. Pour moi, ayant déjà commandé 2x, une fois le SFX100 et une autre le SFX200 (avec des câbles plus courts) chez ce même vendeur, ca a pris son temps.

Pour le SFX100, 1semaine de prépa et 5 semaines de transport. Donc en 1 mois et demi, je l'avais chez moi après payement.

Pour le SFX200 cela avait pris 3 semaines, car demande un peut plus spécifique. 5 semaines pour le transport.

Le vendeur vous donnera aussi un numéro de suivi, à suivre sur un site chinois. Etape par étape, le colis se rapprochera de sa destination :)

Le système est entièrement plug and play. Enfin, si vous y avez ajouté l'AMC, le CLONED THANOS. Vous montez les actuateurs, vous les branchez un à un aux 'servos' (les boitiers blancs), et tout ca est relié au boitier de commande (ressemblant étrangement au boitier Thanos, flash-able bios lui aussi).

En sois, il n'y a rien de compliqué dans tout ca. Donc pour les frileux et assistés qui ont besoin de plans et d'instructions, oubliez les, il y en a aucunes. MAIS... c'est très bien fait, faut vraiment avoir 2 pieds gauches pour ne pas y arriver. Même les câbles sont marqué, donc pas d'erreur possible. Et au pire, il y a nous, la communauté, ou encore le vendeur. Je lui avait envoyé des photos de mes branchement pour vraiment être sur... bien oui... j'était un poil hésitant :) Mais tout était bon :)

Aussi, prévoyez une solution pour fixer les servoes (boitiers blancs). Cela peut être un mini rack, une simple planche de bois, ou encore comme pour moi un petit montage en profilé alu 20x20.

Une fois tout en place et connecté au PC, il vous faudra un soft, moi j'utilise SimHub, pour la config. Attention, vous allez dépenser +/-30€ pour le module "motion". Ah noooooon.... ah ben oui!

Et voila... avec un peut d'attente, j'ai pu réaliser un rêve, passer en dynamique! Mais pas à n'importe quel prix :) On parle d'un système qui est surpuissant, aucune impression 3D plastique, tout est en alu, et surtout, les câbles sont protégé EMI (shielded) ... on ne trouve pas mieux pour ce marché (ou alors je me suis très mal renseigné :) ).

L'ayant commandé 2x chez le même vendeur, qui lui même m'a déjà été conseillé par une connaissance, je suis confiant. Et mon experience fut bonne. Donc... je la partage :)

Petit point d'attention tout de même: n'oubliez pas que vous communiquez à travers un traducteur IA. Donc, répétez vous différemment si besoin, et utilisez un language basique et correct, pour éviter tout mal entendu (induit par la traduction chinoise). Au retour aussi j'ai dû à certains moments lire entre les lignes, ou redemander confirmation avec photos à l'appuis pour m'assurer que l'info fut bien comprise de l'autre côté. Surtout quand j'ai fait ajouter les 2 sets de cables.

Et voila, au total j'aurai payé 1,8K€ pour le SFX 100mm et 2K€ pour le SFX 200mm avec 2 sets complets supplémentaires de câbles plus courts style 1,5m et 2m au lieu des 5m et 3m (si je ne me trompe).

Pour ceux qui n'aiment pas tout ces câbles etc, ne tient qu'à vous de faire un cable management correct (de mon côté il reste encore des finitions à ce niveau, SURTOUT côté simu hélico...)

Been missing driving a manual but don’t have time (or funds) for a project car. Hoping this is a cheap alternative to scratch that itch! Im interested in learning how to drift but also enjoy driving around just to drive. Any recommendations for mods/maps for asseto corsa would be greatly appreciated as I kind of got this on a whim and am completely new to PC gaming and Sim Racing!

Got the Amazon special for a single bass shaker setup.

Used zip ties and a piece of foam. Dual lock tape for added support. Originally tried just dual lock tape but didnt work so brought out zip ties.

There is two holes on the existing rails of chair so put it through that. For the rear there is a small bar going through base of frame for the fabric. Just attached it to there. Added foam from the bass shaker box in between chair and shaker to secure it from rattling.

Wow what a difference bass shakers are. Love it. Moza haptic motors on order to complete the setup.

Can't go back to no bass shaker. Incredible.

Hope that helps somebody with an office chair from secret labs. it is possible without modifying the chair.

Hello guys! As the title says, I am thinking upgrading from my Logitech G29 to one of the 2: Moza R3 or R5.
I game casually, mostly on weekends and that is AMS2. Is it worth the 100€ extra? I also play a lot of ETS2.

I’m looking at potentially opening a small space in Sydney where people can come and race or drift together on high-quality sim setups.

I’ve been sim drifting for many years now, and one thing that’s always bothered me is that there don’t seem to be many places — at least in Sydney — that offer a genuinely good experience for both sim racing and sim drifting, especially for groups of mates who want to play together.

Sure, it’s easy enough to jump into a public lobby on iRacing or Assetto Corsa from home, but I think there’s something completely different about actually being in the same room with your mates — racing head-to-head, doing tandem runs, trash talking, having a laugh, and just enjoying it as a social activity.

I go go-karting fairly often for that reason, but it can get expensive pretty quickly, and depending on where you are it can also be a decent trip. A sim setup could offer a much more relaxed and affordable way to get a similar competitive/social experience.

I’ve also tried a sim venue in Japan before, but the experience wasn’t great for drifting. I was confined to a single simulator and the force feedback wasn’t configured properly, so it made me realise how important the actual setup and configuration are.

That would be one of the main things I’d want to get right with this. The idea wouldn’t be to have one generic setup that everyone has to use regardless of what they’re driving. I’d want the rigs properly configured for the discipline — the steering wheel itself, wheel rotation, FFB behaviour, pedal setup, H-pattern vs sequential shifting, handbrake, seating position, FOV, VR or monitors, and so on.

A drift setup should feel and behave differently to a GT3, Formula or road-car setup and so on...

The goal would be for people to be able to choose what they actually want to do and have the rigs set up properly for it, rather than just being handed a wheel with one universal configuration and told to have fun.

I’m basically opening this thread as an EOI to see whether there’s genuine demand for something like this.

If you had access to a small venue with several proper, high-quality rigs where you and your mates could book a session and race or drift together, would you actually use it?

A few things I’d be interested to hear:

• What would you realistically be willing to pay for a 60–90 minute session?
• Would you prefer VR, triple screens, or a mix of both?
• What games would you want available?
• Would you be more interested in circuit racing, drifting, or both?
• Would things like H-pattern/sequential shifting, handbrakes and discipline-specific FFB/configuration matter to you?
• Would you prefer booking the whole room with friends, or booking an individual rig?
• What would make you choose something like this over just staying home and using your own setup?

I already have access to a lot of the gear needed to potentially get something like this started, so at this stage I’m mainly trying to work out whether there’s enough genuine interest to make it worthwhile.

I can only really judge it from my own experience, so I’d be keen to hear what other sim racers/drifters think — especially anyone in Sydney.

Hello, I'm looking to buy a VR headset. I'm choosing between a used HP Reverb G2 for $150 and a new Meta Quest 3S for $315. There's also a used Quest 2 available for around the same $150, but I think the G2 would be the better pick. What would you recommend? I've never owned a VR headset before, and in my country the selection of both new and used VR headsets is very limited. I'll mainly be using it for sim racing in iRacing, ACC, and Dirt Rally 2.0. I plan to use this headset as my primary one for a long time and have no plans to replace it anytime soon.

Has there been any news from/since Gamescom about the new wheel bases? Anything about the price or release date?

Hey guys I’m looking for a new seat and found the Prisma line of NRG which looks quiet sick.
Before buying I wanted to receive some feedback of any of yours actually using these seats. Are they having a good feel and also is there any issue regarding wear may occurring from the vegan micro fiber used.

Somewhat new to sim racing, and this my budget sim cockpit (here is a hobby that is VERY expensive), an g920 to have fun on acc on xbox, yeah, I know that we console players have some limitations, but I actually starting to like it

ich ersuche Euch mal um Rat, auch wenn ich hier schon ne Weile mit lese, stelle ich doch mal explizit eine Frage.

Bisherige Ausstattung:

Bin Casual Gamer, fahre einfach gern Auto und hab noch nen G29 Lenkrad mit Pedale und Schalthebel rumliegen.

49" Samsung Odyssey auf nem Schwenkarm auf nem höhenverstellbaren Schreibtisch.

Was möchte ich:

Ich hätte gerne einen Playseat/Rig mit Gestell und Sitz, den ich mit meinem G29 verwenden kann. Hab 120kg bei 1,87m, also gern auch etwas stabilere Konstruktion. Sollte unter den Schreibtisch passen, dass ich den Monitor einfach nur zu mir ran ziehen kann.

Kleine Ergänzung:

Ich habe nicht vor in die professionelle Sim Multiplayer Szene einzusteigen. Suche einfach nur etwas um etwas realitätsnäher in AM2 oder Dirt Rally über die Strecke zu heizen xD

Ich steige gerade in das SimRacing ein, habe mich auch schon durch Video informiert, jedoch möchte ich Anfangs vielleicht das Budget nicht zuviel sprengen haha.

Ich habe nur einen begrenzten Platz von 1600mm lang und 700mm Breit.

Jetzt gibt es ja noch verschiedene Hersteller von den Teilen. Gibt es da auf was zu achten? Also ich möchte max 2000 euro Ausgeben für den PC.

Ich werde durschnittlich so 4-6 Stunden die Woche zocken können, und will den PC dann auch ab und zu benutzen um andere Spiele zu zocken. Jedoch kann ich dieses auch über Boosteroid zocken. Für SIM RACING natürlich ausschliesslich lokal.

Ich habe gesehen es gibt auch RIGS, wo mann eine Halterung für das Keyboard anschliessen kann etc.

Wie findet Ihr das Setup? Würdet Ihr was ändern?

I recently moved and finally have enough space for a proper sim racing setup. I'm currently trying to figure out which bundle offers the best value for money.

I still need to budget for the rig, monitor and other bits, so I don't want to blow the whole budget on the wheelbase and pedals. Any recommendations?
