Hello new family - I'm born and raised in San Diego was a lifelong Chargers fan until they left us for our rival city. Continuing to root for them is like cheering while someone else bangs your wife. I've been waiting to choose a new team until I happened to be in a random NFL city for whatever reason and could attend a home game. My rules before selecting a team were as follows:

- Must be a historically bad team (I refused to pick a winning legacy team: Packers, Patriots, Chiefs)
- Must be in an exciting division (AFC East is decent enough, AFC South would've felt boring to me)
- Must not dislike the team's city in baseball (I'm a SD Padres loyalist and so hate Arizona, SF, Denver)

This has been a decision 9 years in the making. I'm temporarily living in Lower East Side and the Jets seems just terrible enough, and plagued by bad ownership and coaching -- to be the perfect fit.

I'm all-in, for life. See you Sept 20th at Metlife. Go Jets baby!

Jets clearly need a quarterback so I don't understand why the Jets don't go for Joe Milton III? Or unless the Jets are waiting on the Draft to get their guy for the future

That’s true in a literal sense. Renovations at the team’s facility are currently underway to upgrade the team’s weight room, one year after Jets owner Woody Johnson invested in locker room upgrades.

It’s also true in the figurative sense. Head coach Aaron Glenn has taken on some renovations of his own. He fired half his coaching staff, took over play-calling on defense and worked with general manager Darren Mougey to add veterans and leaders on both sides of the ball that were missing during last season’s 3-14 finish.Expectations for this year’s Jets team are low outside of Florham Park. The players know it. Glenn can feel it too. Across the NFL on Sunday, rosters were trimmed from 90 to 53 players. The majority of the players who practiced Monday will be the ones who determine if the Jets can overcome the overwhelming noise that people view them as one of the worst teams in the NFL. It’s an uphill battle many coaches before Glenn have tried to overcome.

Would you go after him for the jets? I don’t see why not. I’d love to see him take a bunch of snaps this season and see what he’s got
