My battery health has gone down to 99% I only got it in may so I don’t know if it’s normal?
I use it a lot for gaming, is that why it’s gone down?

Which preserves more the longevity of the device in the long run?
If in sleep mode: battery consumes about like 10-12% of battery.
If in power off: noticeable consumption is like 2-3%.
I assume that greater battery consumption affects battery longevity more but I also take into account the booting sequence, when powering on the device.

Superrrrr excited, my MacBook Pro (Intel 2020) died a month or so ago, and I’ve been pretty useless without it. Filling the gap between now and saving up for the rumored Ultra with the Pro M5 until then. I haven’t used a Pro since the 4th Gen, eager to see the difference.
Any must have Apps to download immediately, especially with iPadOS 27 in mind? Thanks everyone! Also if anyone has used GEForce Now, would love to know how that’s been.

Hello everyone! Does anyone know a tool that'll let me use a wifi ipad pro for apple maps navigation? The GPS isn't reliable and I'm looking for this as a last resort since I can't get carplay to start
Tried making a Hotspot with my iPhone but the GPS still isn't precise, can't even screen share to my iPad so at least I'll have a bigger screen than my phone for directions
Any help is really appreciated!

Hi guys I am using a matte magnetic screen protector for 2 months on my air, this is a pencil pro, as you can see it have been sharpened.
Not a heavy user, probably a moderate one, I only use it for light drawing and games. Not much note taking.
Any suggestions for replacement tips that :
- does not ruin the pencil itself and screen protector
- lasts longer than the original one
I've seen some ceramic ones on rednote but unfortunately doesn't see them selling in Canada.
I've also seen cases that the replacement nib that leaves holes to the inside copper part, so please give me some safe suggestions, thank you.❤️

So I left my iPad on my induction cooktop a couple days ago and my child turned it on. I discovered it a couple minutes later and the iPad was hot and smoke came out of it. I let it cool down and it still works completely fine. I notice 2 burn marks though on a white screen (which don’t bother me), and the iPad starts to smell bad every time I’m watching a series for instance and while it gets warm (like it always did).
Do you guys suspect any battery damage, which could cause fires for instance? It still works, but if that’s the case I might still need to get rid of it.

I bought two iPads almost two months ago for my daughters for Xmas as I managed to purchase them before the prices increased (from Tesco, UK)
I need to add AppleCare+ within the next few days (within 60 days of purchase). I have activated the iPads today but when I’ve gone to purchase the plan, it says I have 61 days left to purchase? My understanding was that you had to purchase within 60 days of purchase, not 60 days of activation.
Can anyone clarify this for me? Can I get away with purchasing it in another 60 days time? They are going to sit in a box unused so if I can save £10 a month, I will. Does AppleCare+ cover hardware issues? Bit annoyed I activated them now as the limited warranty is shown as 03/09/2026 (today’s date) and I’m guessing if I waited until Xmas, the warranty would have ended then? I thought it would start on the date of purchase.
Also, has anyone had issues purchasing it? When I try to purchase, I get the “something went wrong - we are unable to complete your request. Please try again later” error but I seem to be able to proceed with it on my iPhone.
(Also, how annoying is it that they’ve increased the cost? I was planning to pay £3.49 x 2 a month not £4.99 x 2! Feel like Apple’s prices have sky rocketed this year!)

I bought it in 2024 and in the beginning it was fun colouring with procreate and journaling but I don’t much of that anymore.
I got a macbook last years because ipad just can’t do what a laptop can. Anyways since then I hardly touch it. Most of the time I am annoyed to use it since it’s bulky and big. I don’t like typing on it, or multi tasking. It feels supremely inconvenient.
I just feel bad selling but i think it’s the right thing to do. I am afraid what if I regret it 😕
Anyways has anyone regretted selling their ipad after not using it much?

I got an m1 air refurbished and wow, the screen is just on another level. I have never seen such contrast on an ips screen, I had some tablets in the past but, this is just incredible. I have an oled phone and tv too, but its mindblowing what apple does with these ips screens. The backlight is so uniform, zero glow from the corners, just amazing.

Just ordered a 13 inch M5, and curious to know how gameplay is through CloudGear with a GEForce Now subscription? I ordered an Anker USB-C Hub for Ethernet connection, hoping that drops any latency issues.
Much appreciated!

been doing slow travel for about eight months now, working as a freelance graphic designer the whole time. the ipad pro is 90% of my setup and i want to be real about where it earns its keep and where it doesn't.
the good stuff is obvious: portability, pencil for sketching concepts, procreate for quick client mockups, editing photos from my fuji on the go. all genuinely solid. clients don't know or care that i'm working from a cafe in some market town.
where it breaks down for me is file management. working with layered files across affinity designer and cloud storage is manageable but it's never quite frictionless. there are moments where i genuinely miss just having a finder window open and dragging things around like a normal person.
color accuracy is also something i think about more than i want to. the screen looks great but i'm always secondguessing it when i send finals to clients who are looking at monitors i have no control over.
curious if any other designers here have found a rhythm with this, or if you just accept that a few things will stay slightly annoying and work around them.

I ordered a mint condition m2 ipad pro 12.9 1Tb with magic keyboard for $860 before tax, is it a good deal? Yes, I checked the serial number and cross checked everything with the seller.
