The 'panic' around Lia Thomas was about creating a target people could point at while demanding exclusion. So much of what people “know” about Lia comes from manufactured outrage and years of misinformation repeated without context.

Her swimming career was far from exceptional; she did not come close to dominating the sport and is famous for a race in which she tied for 5th and was beaten by 4 other women.

We (The Trans Advocacy and Complaints Collective (TACC)) commissioned this comic to break down the actual story.

When you are made of rubber you have the advantage of not conducting current therefore shockproof. On the other hand not the same can be said about the heat produce by the same current in an adjacent material. She had to learn the hard way that even though she is unaffected by it directly, she still shouldn't tank electric attacks.
