🤔 Thinking “Luck be a lady” has so many iconic moments in it

Misc Watching Lanterns currently and I just had the weirdest urge to appreciate my fav on-screen Flash outfit. The grittiness and realism of the outfit make them go so well together. Straight out of the Golden Age comics.
Yeah I know it was technically not Flash, but Zoom/Hunter Zolomon impersonating Jay Garrick. But it had one of the cleanest and most elegant look of Flash. Like straight from the golden age era, except he rocked it so well and the outfit just looked realistic without looking too hokey. I was thinking these two would've gone so well together if they were from the same universe.

🤔 Thinking The cure
I don't like how the show handled the cure plotline, they reduced it to a courtroom battle and even before that they made a big deal about using it with consent with ( kingshark , cicada and his daughter). You could tell that writers were biased from the start, they had already decided that forcing the cure even on criminals is abad thing instead of letting the viewers decide, it could be their chance to create their version of the sokovia accords which could have been better since it being on a 20+ tv show would allow it to tell the story more broadly i.e show the reasoning behind each side. Think of the possibilities if it was done well, it would have been a good replacement for the cicada storyline and it would have been a literal battle of ideologies leaving no room for plot holes because in this fight flash's speed can't save the day. Imagine this for a second after Barry's fight with Devoe it leads to a mass casualty event ,the public has had it with metahuman just then mercury labs develops the cure which leads to creation of a movement that wants to give every metahuman the cure and its growing filled with people who lost their loved ones in the hands of metas ,Barry attempt to get through to them as the flash backfires when conversation of Barry that clearly suggest that he had something to do with the blackhole that killed a lot of people in central city and also that he changed the timeline to save his family and in the process affected everyone else's life in ways that they will never know which changes the publics perception of the Flash .In this season Barry comes to the realization of how powerful he is and how he can affect the lives of others in seconds he is in a constant conflict with himself whether one should have this much power which causes him to stop being the flash after finding out one of his teammate was the one who leaked his conversation this leads to the split of team flash as some members aren't against the cure.........
Sorry i got carried away but you get the point.

Shitpost Idea for a Post-Crisis Spin-off/Fanfic?
What if a spinoff was made that revolved solely around the earths that got destroyed in Crisis? Like what if instead of being destroyed the monitor actually fused all the other infinite earths into 1 world. A much, larger one. A post-apocalyptic styled-show that watches characters like the different Wells or doppelgangers of any other Arrowverse characters survive what life is like if instead of the multiverse being wiped out, it got all fused together...
But since you can't scale to infinity, obviously that leads to some pretty bad shit.
Edit:As you can see I'm not good at English

🤔 Thinking Has Barry surpassed Eobard in terms of Battle iq in season 9?
I would definitely say so. In every matchup between the two people give Battle Iq to thawne. However Barry has definitely shown better combat skills and Battle iq

Actor Fluff Just started watching and I'm so excited to see Jesse L Martin!
I fell in love with him when I watched his episode on X-Files, he played that so well. Something about his smile, I don't know, he's just amazing! Anyway I'm so glad I took a chance on this show to see if I'd like it, I had no idea he was in this.
So far I'm really enjoying the show, I don't usually enjoy super hero things but on the other hand this seems very different from the usual machine gun firing in a lot of shows. We shall see, I'm on S01E09. I like the character Barry but the character Joe West just brings on the emotion when I watch him, it's somehow so comforting.

🤔 Thinking We need to admit that the "Original Timeline" was just abandoned by CW, not some deep mystery.
A lot of people in the community talk about the "OG Timeline" as if it’s established, concrete canon, the idea that there was definitely a timeline where Nora lived, Barry grew up happy, Wells launched the particle accelerator in 2020, and that specific Barry fought Thawne in 2024 in Crisis before travelling back in time to 2000.
The reality? The show barely touched it, left it completely ambiguous, and then just moved on.
We only ever got vague, passing dialogue about it with no follow-up.
- We never saw this supposed timeline. We don't know if Nora was alive in that timeline.
- Virtually everything we think we know comes from a few lines dropped by Thawne in Season 1 (like telling Wells about the 2020 particle accelerator launch) and the 2024 newspaper article. That’s it. We never saw it, we never explored it, and the details were never actually filled in.
- We never found out if the "Future Barry" who waved off Season 1 Barry was an alternate version or just our Barry's future self.
- The newspaper article is treated as a remnant of the show's future.
- Gideon's backstory is brushed off.
Early on, it felt like the show was setting up a big reveal or building toward something specific with Gideon, the 2024 newspaper and Crisis possibly being the original finale before the full circle moment. But as the show went on, showrunners changed, Crisis got pulled forward to 2019, and time travelling became confusing. At the end of the day, the "Original Timeline" wasn't some masterfully planned mystery waiting to be unraveled. It was a vague, early-season framework that the writers lost interest in as showrunners changed and the network's plans shifted. We can come up with all the headcanons we want, but the truth is the writers never really figured out what it was supposed to be, and it simply got left behind. We may never know what they were trying to do.

🤔 Thinking Nora West allen
So in the multiverse there's a version where everything went as planned in the show and Barry vanished and Nora disappears into dust is there a version of iris that is still waiting for Nora to come home when she never will?

🤔 Thinking Revisiting Cisco’s Choices
Watching this show as a kid, I found it out of character and a bit annoying that Cisco gave up his powers. I thought Cisco would stay a wide eyed brilliant scientist that found great use in his powers, found superheroes cool and wanted to be one himself.
I have just started rewatching the Flash from Season 3 and finished 5. As an adult now about to finish college, I realized when I watched it before, I didn’t take into account that Cisco was maturing. Once I realized that, even the decision to leave Gypsy made more sense. He didn’t want his personal life to be consumed by his powers.
I think it’s important to take that perspective because his powers traumatized him. He first vibed himself getting killed by his mentor. He had visions of almost all the major villains of the show.
I still in my heart wanted Vibesco who is able to balance hero and his technical career, but it’s okay. Not everyone is supposed to be a hero forever. And The Flash didn’t do so well with sidekicks anyways but thats another conversation.

Shitpost Barry Allen and all speedsters are just trolls
We all know that the combat in the show is very inconsistent about what Barry can do with his speed. But what if it wasn't inconsistent. What if Barry was just being dramatic and theatrical?
We would see what we see in the show. I believe this begins as early as episode 2. As we see with him talking to iris in episode 2, he has already fully mastered the art of flash time and is able to move in super speed during this slowed down time giving him incredible speed. I posit that at some point during the two episodes he realized his super speed fundamentally gave him complete and utter control of any situation involving non speedster which means he can afford to let the get away or land attacks for dramatic tension because he can handle it when it gets down to it.
Think about it. Say Barry is amoral. He just wants to have a good time and do what he wants. What would be more fun and entertaining? Using his powers to instantly take down every threat with no help at all? Or pretending that they are much bigger threats than they are and only defeating them with a clever plan and some help? I would say the second option would be more entertaining. Which is what we see happen. So if we are to consider the show fully internally consistent, this is the conclusion we must come to.
All the speedsters are like this. Consider reverse flash in the first season. He has the speed to imprison Barry by force as soon as Barry gets his powers. Then he can force Barry to train his speed enough to open the way to the future for thawne. But instead he goes for the dramatic reveal and giving Barry the ultimatum of saving his mom despite that plan being high likelihood of failing. Intriguing. Let's look at zoom. He wants Barry's speed and to use it to power a device to destroy the multiverse to make him the fastest speedster. Instead of beating Barry up a ton in the first encounter, he has the speed and the means to capture Barry and steal his speed himself and execute his plan with his enhanced speed and maybe a time remanent if it isn't charging fast enough. But he goes with the plan of letting Barry go and flushing him out by wreaking havoc and war on central city when that plan has a high chance of failing due to letting Barry remain a speedster. Savitar. He has so many chances and opportunities to neutralize all the threats and achieve his goal of killing iris to birth himself. Yet he doesn't. This pattern maintains for every speedster. They all consistently have the ability to win their fights and accomplish their goals near instantly yet they don't.
If we are taking the show as fully consistent, this is the only explanation we can have.

Shitpost I choose to believe that everything after this scene has just been Barry having Speed Force hallucinations.
I don't take psychology yet, but in a way, it explains ALMOST everything in a way I think? S4-S9 could've just been Barry's mind trying to visualise what the things he always wanted but never got.
In S4, he reunites with Team Flash, has another crossover and marries Iris, which clearly could just be him missing everyone in the first few days in the Speed Force Prison.
In S5, he meets Nora, which is just his idea of what his life would be like if he ever had a kid. And the repeating escapes by Cicada are just excuses made by his brain to spend more time with Nora. A unrealistic scenario to fufill an unrealistic dream.
In S6, its just Crisis. Man just wanted to see how he was supposed to go down.
In S7, now he's just getting curious on what else there could be besides the Speed Force.
In S8, Barry needed a proper ending with Thawne given the number of times Thawne escaped him or survived despite everything.
In S9, Barry wanted a pregnancy arc. That's it.
As for everything else in the show, I have no words. So feel free to hate me for it

Multiverse What was the plan in season 2 eps 23???
So after they locked Barry in the pipeline they tried to stop zoom…WHAT WAS THE ACTUAL PLAN?!?! Trick zoom with snow, trank him, and push him through a breach…but he can run between earths, so what was the plan?

Spoilers Every time I re-watch, I love Eddie more Spoiler
Like, he's such a good guy! He genuinely loves Iris, he admires and respects Joe, he really wants to do good in the city and he's so good to Barry too! I love the scene where he teaches Barry to fight when Barry's primary school bully reappears.
It really sucks that he died so soon and that when he eventually comes back he's done so dirty. He's just such a likable character!

I think most of this subreddit (and the rest of the TV fandom who doesn't USE Reddit) can all agree that season 9 was absolute shit ("mediocre" if you're just TOO kind). So, I tried to rewrite my OWN version of it that I hope you guys can access through Wattpad, read it, and give me as much feedback as possible!

Question the future timeline
there is this question in my head about the Ai flash created in the future how does the reverse flash still have it when he went back to 2000 in order to kill young Barry cuz when he killed his mom he created the new timeline and Erased the future timeline so Gideon is erased too then how does the RF still has it with him??
is it because Eobard Thawne took Gideon with him or Something else??

🤔 Thinking What if??
What if during Crisis Barry runs so fast that he actually gets sent back to the night his mom died.
He ends up meeting Reverse Flash there and they have the whole fight, but while Barry is trying to get back to his original timeline, the antimatter wave from Crisis catches up to him through time.
Barry tries to outrun it but he can't.
The wave hits him and he just completely disappears.
And the crazy part is nobody in the original timeline even knows what happened to him. They just see Barry run into the Speed Force during Crisis and then he never comes back.
Everyone thinks he died saving the multiverse.
But actually, Barry got trapped somewhere outside the timeline after the wave caught him.
So his original timeline survives, Crisis gets stopped, everyone is saved, but Barry is just... gone.
And that's why the newspaper saying “The Flash vanishes in Crisis” becomes literal. Nobody knew where he went or what actually happened to him
Good way to end
