Recommendations The Flash Reading Order (collected edition) ⚡️
The days of asking for a reading order for The Flash are over!
I’ve put together a full collected edition reading order that I will update regularly as new stuff comes out. The list also links to a single issue reading order if you want to go that route (WARNING: it’s long asf and literally crashes my phone when I scroll too fast)
Let me know if y’all see any key trades I missed and I’ll add them! ⚡️

Showcase Flash-themed Birthday Haul
My birthday was yesterday but I was in class the whole day, so I only got to go out and splurge this morning. Currently I’m in Chile for a semester abroad, and have been trying to find all the best stuff for my collection as a Barry Allen superfan but OVNIPress (major argentinian editorial) seems to only print Post-Crisis material and I’ve already got everything from Flash: Rebirth up to Williamson’s Flash. Depending on my mood I may go back for the Flashpoint, Road to Flashpoint, Flash: Rebirth, and Flash: Year One pocket editions later

Discussion Phoebe Dynevor needs to be casted as Iris West. This is a perfect casting for her in the DCU. A faithful and true adaptation to the character. She looks she based on her comic appearance.

Fan Made “BEHOLD SAID THE FLASH” [OC]
Based off a misreading of a line from a play one of my friends was in, bit of an inside joke but I hope the art is still decent without to look at without the proper context

Discussion Why doesn’t do this with the Flash?
(Posted this on my alt by accident)
I never understood why DC doesn’t do something similar to green lantern and green lantern corp with the flash.
Like why can we have 2 titles, one that is a solo flash run, and another with the flash family.
The solo flash run can focus on the flash himself and interchange between Barry and Wally. As they are the most influential and popular flashes.
Stories like the current Ryan North run, the 52 run, and most of the rebirth run would fit in the solo flash run as it focuses on a single flash, whether it be Barry or Wally.
The flash family run can focus on the family as a unit.
Stories like the One Minute War, Dead Heat, and Search for Barry Allen would be stories that would fit a flash family title.
This is how you would make all fans of the flash happy while also printing money at the same time.
Thoughts?

Discussion (Discussion) How Would You Fix Linda Park West After Years of Being Reduced to Just Wife & Mother?
I feel like Linda has been underutilized as a character ever since she and Wally had their children pre-New 52. What makes it more frustrating is that Linda had a life and identity of her own before she was ever with Wally
Linda was a reporter and even had her own talk show, so she wasn’t originally introduced as just a love interest waiting around for Wally. She had her own career, ambitions, personality, and place in the world. Her relationship with Wally was supposed to be one part of her character, not the entirety of it
But after the kids came along, it feels like her role gradually shifted further and further into the background. Instead of being an active character with her own goals and storylines, she’s increasingly written as “the good wife and mother.”

Comic Discussion I need a flash comic
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a flash comic, preferably from the 90s era of knightfall, death and return of superman, and introduction of Kyle Rayner for my collection.
I’d like to get one in either a compendium or omnibus format that would also look nice in my shelf (hopefully with a cool spine) so I’m looking for any recommendations you all might have
Thanks!

Discussion Lack of XS
This has been on my mind for a while. XS is heavily underutilized.
It just seems as if they wanted another Flash family member to be in the future with Bart. She lacks distinct standalone arcs compared to other Flash family members. Being set a thousand years in the future isolates her from regular Flash family crossovers.
Being mostly bound to the futuristic Legion of Super-Heroes, meaning she gets zero traction when the books focus on modern-day Central City. Yet, even in the Legion of Super-Heroes, she doesn't seem to have a stand alone arc. She seems to lack deep character development compared to other legacy heroes and the heroes in the Legion.
While the live-action show boosted the "XS" name recognition, DC Comics has done very little to integrate Jenni Ognats back into mainstream modern runs. It makes me wonder about what could and should be done to give more attention to her.
Bart had once asked her to join him in the 21st century, but she decided to stay in the 31st century with the Legion to locate their surviving relatives. If she does come back in a storyline where she decides to stay temporarily or she's stuck there somehow, what kind of storyline could she have.
One I had so far was a romantic story line between her and Lar Gand/Mon-El, who's now the warden of the Phantom Zone. It could be how they both learn to "move forward" from one another. Mon-El due to being trapped in the Zone for so long, and Jenni/XS learning to enjoy life in the modern day timeline.
If a storyline set in the future, maybe she interacts with some more main members. Or forms a "squad" of sorts with some others; like Phantom Girl, Shadow Lass and Lightning Lass.
Maybe a team up with with Bart and the other members of the Flash Family. Gain a mentor in Jay Garrick or Max Mercury. Bond with Barry, Wally, his family and Ace. Show her learning newer abilities from them.
What do you think? What should be done with Jenni/XS? What storylines do you envision for her? Please comment respectfully.

Fan Made Quick drawing of Reverse Flash in the style of the 90s tv series
I know they had “Pollux” in the show but I wanted to imagine what an Eobard Thawne reverse flash would look like.
2nd image is the photo I used for reference.

I love that suit from the 90s Flash series.
For me, it is one of the best live-action adaptations of superhero costumes.

Fan Made Scarlet Speedster Sketch [OC]
I’ve been using Flash as a model to practice kinetic motion for future comics. This is my favorite of him so far!
Been going back and forth as to whether it’s Barry or Wally… any ideas?

It’s a shame DC didn’t give the *Smallville* team the chance to use Barry Allen; actor Kyle Gallner even had a look that resembled the Barry Allen from the comics—this was before he dyed his hair and started looking more like Impulse.

It's a shame we don't have those movies; Flash is a character with a lot of potential.

Is Barts tenure as the flash ever brought up again?
I know it's mentioned a few times before flashpoint but is it ever brought up after? Does anyone ever mention val or Griffin? Is it still canon to the current version of Bart Allen? It's one of my favorite flash books of all time and id love it to get at least a mention once in a while.

Discussion Could The Flash escape the Quantum Realm?
The Flash and Ant-Man get into a battle. Obviously Flash stomps but in this scenario, Hank was able to send Flash to the Quantum realm. Flash is famous for his molecular control/dimensional travel, so does he have an answer for being trapped at the subatomic level via speed force?
