I've been making a VR plugin for fun and I decided to try killing Duke today. I can appreciate this game and this boss so much more in VR, it's truly an out of this world experience. I hope this is JMod approved! What boss should I try next? I'm thinking yama.

As long as you let the Killerwatt attack you first, it will never use its range attack. This is only possible because of their jank coding that makes them aggro on click instead of aggro on hit. So the setup is:

1. Click Killerwatt to aggro.
2. Immediately click ground to cancel your own attack.
3. Let Killerwatt hit you once.
4. Killerwatt is now in forever melee mode and won't use range attacks.
5. Enjoy your chill Air Diamond hunt.

The rule of thumb is +4 strength per max hit. So the amulet of strength gives a ~+2.5 max hit. That is disgustingly broken for a 1k early game item and should be nerfed. In full torva with a sra in max melee, a ammy of strength has a higher max hit than a fury, which is 2.8m item, a berserker necklace, which is 2.9m, and an eternal glory, a 53m item!!!!!

How Jagex thought it would be ok to have an item this op without polling players on it is beyond me and as a result we should protest until multi-account membershit is enabled. Smh $15/m for this nonsense.

Reading through all the meltdowns this morning is quality entertainment.

This creator was reinstated in an hour after contacting Jagex Support via Twitter.

Jagex should create an official discussion platform on the OSRS website that is tied directly to our Jagex accounts.

Reddit is useful for discussion, but it should not be treated as a primary representation of the OSRS playerbase. When sandwhichladytoesniffer369 comments on a thread and that opinion gets taken seriously by JMods, there is no way to know whether that person even plays the game, how active they are, or whether they have any meaningful experience with the content being discussed.

An official forum tied to Jagex accounts could verify that the people participating are actual players. It could potentially even display things like account age, total level, playtime, or relevant boss/content experience—not to gatekeep opinions, but to provide context.

We also repeatedly see situations where the apparent consensus on [r/2007scape](r/2007scape) is very different from what the broader playerbase ultimately votes for in-game.
Reddit is a community of OSRS players. It is not the OSRS community.

If Jagex wants detailed player feedback outside of polls, that discussion should happen somewhere where the participants are validated.

Edit: There’s a lot of feedback here arguing that this isn’t happening. To be clear, I hope you all are 100% correct.

It's hilarious how the majority of the reddit community was in favor of the amulet. And now when it gets nerfed, people blame reddit for being in favor of nerfing the amulet when this was a very small minority of players that called for it. All of a sudden today it's "fucking redditors were crying all day about it yesterday" when in reality anyone that did so was downvoted. The short sightedness of this community and revisionist history going on to make a new argument convenient is just crazy to me, and goes to show how 95 percent in people in here don't know what they're talking about.

Early game is way too OP.

After today I'm convinced 90% of the people who comment on this site don't know what this interface is and how it affects the meta of mage compared to elemental spells and why elemental cant compete.

I know that's not the word, but I keep hearing it pronounced that way in videos. Bear inspector. I thought maybe the word "baron" or "barren" was the first part but there isn't a monster with that name. That's if it's even a monster, people like to say "I'm doing black demons" when it's a monster, but they say the same thing about skilling, so it could be anything. Bear inspection sounds like a mini game jagex would make.

I was 80ish in everything back in 07, just started again last month so everything above 80s back then and everything added since then is new to me.

Just wondering if I'm missing something here or if this is a bug. I really hate being a Starship Trooper so I blocked Kalphites many moons ago. Now I just got assigned a Kalphites task and I cant even block it because its , well blocked lol.

Edit: I haven't changed any Slayer master or done any kind of skipping. I have been strictly using Duradel/Kuradal for a couple of years now as far as I can remember.

Update: I went to Kuradal and its seems I have no block list at all... previously I just used contact NPC and blocked my task trough the Slayer witch near GE.

Case closed, I'm stupid! </3
