For a long time, I used the Bonjourr start page extension. I loved its minimal aesthetic, but over time I found myself wanting features that weren't available:
• Native Wallhaven integration to automatically stream top-rated wallpapers and specific tags.
• A built-in productivity timer with quick presets and customizable chime alarms.
• Deeper wallpaper controls, such as vertical (Y-axis) framing alignment, offline local gallery storage, and full ZIP backups.
That’s why I created my own extension: Nova-Perdanga.
🗻 Key Features
• Wallhaven & Local Storage: Stream wallpapers directly from Wallhaven by tags/collections, or store your own high-res images offline in browser-native IndexedDB.
• Productivity Timer: A draggable, collapsible floating timer with quick presets.
• Dynamic Color Tinting: Automatically extracts the dominant color from the current wallpaper to subtly tint the search bar and UI elements.
• Search & Autocomplete: Real-time search suggestions with direct shortcuts (!y, !wiki, !r, !gh, !gl).
• Weather & Typography: Accurate weather via Open-Meteo with deep links to interactive maps (Ventusky, Weather.com, etc.).
• ZIP Backup & Restore: Back up your entire gallery and settings into a compressed .zip archive.
• Private: Zero tracking, zero telemetry, zero analytics. Everything stays strictly in your browser.
