I'm one person, so bugs and rough edges are guaranteed - tell me what breaks or what's missing.

I wanna make a few mood-based lists but i have over 1200 songs and i simply cant bring myself to manually go through all of them to look for the angsty ones. I have free Spotify, Apple Music, and a local library, and any generator i find online just grab other songs. Any ideas?

Title says it - occasionally I need to set up a web/file server and have someone else download stuff from me. I've used Apache HTTP, Rebex and a couple others that escape me, but none really fit the bill or are reliable. Rebex was working fine but seems to have issues with file transfers occasionally.

Just something simple that I can open a port, put some files in a folder, and give my IP/port to the other person. Not looking for a full-on host, just something to switch on briefly when needed.

I'm aware of the sites that will make a direct connection between you and the other person, but they are incredibly slow and I'd rather just completely self-host.

I was trying to register in that site, got everything right, I even answered the verification question ‘cat’, but it kept saying ‘you did not answer the verification question correctly’. I thought I got everything right. I made sure it was lowercased, no spaces. And it still showed that message. So I gave up.

Does anyone know of a software/website that you are able to upload a .wav file to and it will render out a video file of an oscilloscope style visualizer similar to this from fl studio?

I am aware of wavecandy being inbuilt to fl, but my computer kinda sucks and screen recording makes it lag like crazy.

Heya first build ive ever done, been learning while making it. I got everything working i just need some help with the boot menu and making sure im doing it right.

Ive already looked at youtube, i couldnt find a video actually showing how to set it up fully just showing the different tabs and saying what it does for the most part. I understand parts of it but not all of it. I got jammy jellyfish OS from ubuntu to install but these error messages? Kept showing up before and after installing the OS and im not sure what its refering too fully.

Some i can gather like the workload queue being hogged by the CPU, which it says to change but idk how to change it.

If yall have a good guide please link it. Ive been working on this thing for months now and im so close to finishing it im getting antsy lol.

I have a plans for making a film about an evil A.I (how original, I know) and I want the A.I to be represented as a laptop. Imagine it has a black screen. The screen is on but it's just black. Then, when it speaks, it gradually flashes back and forth from black to white to representing it speaking. I don't want it to just switch from black to white. I want it to increase the brightness gradually.

Hey everyone, I've been continuing work on Fluent Sensors, a native Windows 11 hardware monitoring app built with WinUI 3. The latest addition is a native taskbar widget, live sensor graphs can now be pinned directly into the taskbar.

Performance and optimization and stuff is still ongoing, any feedback is appreciated.

The whole thing is open source, everything can be checked in the repo.

One important thing: the app needs admin rights to install and run. Please don't just install unsigned apps that ask for admin rights without checking them first, e.g. via VirusTotal or the source code. I'm working on getting it properly signed through SignPath Foundation.

Hey, I wanted to share that the initial beta release of Zaku 26.0 is now out!

It is available on Linux, macOS and Windows.

I've been working on this rewrite in Rust™ for the last 7 months full-time, tbh things got carried away and it has a lot more functionality that the original app didn't have (command palette, auto-updater, git integration, etc.) so it's not just a plain rewrite.

Little bit about the app, it stores collections as folders and requests as TOML files. Everything is stored locally on user's filesystem, it doesn't have any login functionality (and never will).

There is a barebones Git integration for now to show branch, status indicators and stuff.

This app is very early, if you try it out please let me know if there's something missing, not working or things you'd like to see added.

at work I receive continuosly tasks to do... because I am alone and i have to manage over 700 users ...so I need a small program that runs locally on W10/11 to update (like by moving with drag&drop some kind of sticky notes) the always changing priority of the many tasks which have been assigned to me.

Can you suggest me something that can help me to keep track of all these tasks ? Something small, easy to use... not a monolith like Jira 🙂

I'm combining the release notes to share a massive update covering both v4.1 and v4.2 because I missed posting the v4.1 announcement. These updates focus on Visual Search, bypassing detection, and making the bot's behavior more human-like.

What's new in v4.1 & v4.2:

• Visual Search Integration: Added Visual Search to daily tasks and phase-based workflows with its own human-like interactions (mouse movements, randomized delays, and page scrolling after uploads). To bypass hash-based detection, it dynamically crops and compresses base images, generating over 1.6 million unique file variations.
• LLM Query Generation: Added an optional feature to generate fresh, localized Bing search queries using LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) with a fallback to the static database (thanks to @JeromeM for implementing this)
• Humanized Queries: The bot now simulates human typing mistakes by introducing realistic keyboard-based typos to improve query diversity from the dataset.

I have 2 SSD's that I used to use for main hard drives- I like to remove the partitions and reformat just for storage- not sure what software to use, what suggestion would you have?

Of course with limited use i would prefer little or no cost.

i'm one of the founders of Anarlog, an open-source (MIT) meeting notetaker. it captures mic + system audio directly on your device instead of sending a bot into the call. notes, transcripts, and recordings stay in a local SQLite database and local files by default.

transcription and summaries can run fully locally too: on-device models on supported Macs, pick which local Whisper model runs, or point Anarlog at Ollama, LM Studio, Unsloth, your own API key, or a subscription you already pay for (ChatGPT, Grok, GitHub Copilot, Kimi Code).

shipped v1.4.17 today: nested folders for organizing notes, more resilient on-device speaker diarization for separating who said what during batch transcription, and a set of recording reliability fixes.
