I pierced my 4th lobe like 5 years ago, about a week ago I put on a steel earring and was no struggle at, but I had the smallest scar type of bump but you could barely tell, I changed the stud for this steel hoop/ring, it looks tight but I can move it freely which I’m avoiding atm. It looks crusty I’ve been cleaning it with sterile saline solution, but now I see that it looks bigger and a little swollen; it’s a little sore but I see no puss but why is the bump higher than the actual hole itself? Should I go back to a steel stud? I definitely did irritated it a little bit while putting on the hoop since it was difficult to close but I didnt feel significant pain, I’ve been avoiding sleeping on that side and touching it altogether, I clean it 3 times a day but I wonder if the bump
Would go down or should I loose the hoop? Does it look infected?

I have angel fangs and for the life of me online i cannot find ANY curved barbells with backings that are externally threaded like the ones i was pierced with. I am looking for the curved barbell itself to be INTERNALLY threaded and the backings (ball, spike, etc.) to have external threading on a small nub that screws into the barbell, because this is healthier for your piercings. Does anyone know of anywhere online where I might be able to purchase jewelry like this?

Additionally the piercers around my area do not use jewelry like this sadly, so im somewhat unable to go in person to a piercer to get some. The jewelry around here typically has the opposite threading setup, where the backings are internally threaded and the barbell slides inside the backings. sigh..

So i basically, those bars the piercer usually gives as first jewelry does ut have to be bars?
The place where i got my first pearcing i asked if he could put hoops in right away but he said that bcz of their shape it applies pressure and it heals worse (and somth else that i forgot), but there is a piecing studio much closer to my place that, i know from social media, lets you choose your first set(also hoops).
Someone i know told me that that studio isnt good bcuz apparently they also do body mods n stuff(idk how that would make it worse?), but its really appealing to me. The piercing i wanna have done is a labret and i dont really like how the bar/ball thats showing look and i would change it to hoops later anyway.

So again: is that important for the healing process or for anything?

i will obviously get my anatomy checked by a reputable piercer, but i just wanna see if its even worth getting checked for it. i’m more concerned my flat area or my ridge might not me prominent enough.

I got this navel piercing four days ago but after scrolling this page I fear mine may not be correctly pierced? I included a photo of my laying standing and sitting and the one I’m more concerned about is the laying down one….i wonder if I was not pierced right due to my chub…..but she did pierce me while I was laying down.

What do you guys think should I take it out or go back and ask for a refund?

hey guys so i really want an industrial but im SO scared of it if it doesnt heal well. i dont mind the pain itself but instead of the healing process going wrong. otherwise i might do a helix but im also not sure if theres much of a difference in healing. any tips or recommendations?

For context: I have a 10g 11mm horseshoe septum piercing, titanium and externally threaded. Fully healed, had it for 6+ years

I lost the ball end of my septum a couple days ago. The ends I have now are 4mm and I prefer the smaller look. I can only find larger than 4mm ends or for different gauges; would it work if I bought 4mm 12g replacement balls and put them on my 10g? or should I try to replace the entire piece? TIA

I had these done months ago but I feel like they are too far apart, too separated. I was thinking on getting the 2nds and 3rds re pierced like I drew in my photos. Any opinions? Suggestions?

I ordered a few anodized titanium clickers from Painful Pleasures for my septum piercing (8 years old) and unfortunately the color started fading on 2 of the 4 rings.

So after that disappointing experience, I was going to buy some anodized titanium clickers for my new nostril piercings (6 and 4 months old) (one stud on each side) from my local highly rated piercing shop instead, but I just found out their titanium jewelry comes from Metal Mafia, and a little googling said that brand’s titanium jewelry isn’t the best quality either.

Is one of these brands any better than the other, or is the quality just pretty poor for both?

Also, to be clear I won’t be trying to swap out the jewelry in the 4 month old piercing for a few more months, I know it will likely need more time.

Just got my industrial done yesterday with titanium and internal thread piercing but i am worrying about the fact that is close to my flat. There is space for a paper to pass between them but i really dont want to take it out if there is a problem

So far I’m happy with my setup! wanting 3 or 4 more on this ear. What else should I add? (I don’t have the anatomy for a forward helix unfortunately)

hello!! I got my conch pierced exactly 4 weeks ago, and today I noticed it looked super messed up in the back :(

I didn't notice at all since the front of the piercing looks super normal, but when I accidentally brushed the back of my ear today, it had blood and a clear, gooey liquid near the piercing. I am very confused since the piercing itself is not swollen at all, doesn't look red on the front, and does not hurt whatsoever (except for the wound, of course).

It was pierced with a flat back labret with an externally threaded screw on ball. I am not sure of the material since they did not tell me at the piercing studio, but it is some kind of metal. I haven't downsized it yet since it is still slightly sore when touched(?)/moved. I spray both sides of the piercing with sterile saline solution twice a day and lightly dry around it with a q-tip.

I want to mention that I am really terrible at leaving my piercings alone; I pick at my skin endlessly and my piercings are no exception. I have been trying very hard to just LITHA, but I do find myself picking at the crusties.

Is this just a scab next to the piercing? Is my piercing infected? What should I do? Please help me!!

I’ve had the piercing for around 2 months and I snagged it on my shirt. There was an irritation bump on the top before but it healed, and now there is swelling on the bottom side. This is the second time this has happened in the past 2 weeks with the bump on the top transitioning into swelling on the bottom side. I’ve been using saline solution twice a day and I don’t sleep on it… it’s a curved bar and I haven’t gotten it downsized.

I was told that I can’t get an industrial or helix and wonder what my anatomy fits instead ^^ The piercer also said that my ear is on the smaller side if that is of any relevance!
On my other ear I also got 3 on my lobes and a conch
Im specifically curious about australianos piercings, a helix/flat/hidden helix, a contra conch and some smaller pieces for above my existing 3 lobe holes (potentially also a 4th lobe one?)

Just trying to fully complete the vision. I’ve gone so much further than I ever expected in terms of quantity and now I just want to have two full ear stacks. Thoughts on these locations as a way to finish out my ears?

Note, we are already planning on connecting the high lobe and helix with a chain.

I got snakebites back in late May and I’m still wearing the original piercing jewelry they gave me, it’s not giving me any issues and it doesn’t feel too long, if anything I feel it sits perfectly. I found this from what my piercer originally told me for switching my jewelry but really don’t remember what it means. Do I really need to swap the length/gauge ? I’m assuming what I have in now is the 16 1/2”.
I was also wanting to switch them out with these screw designed labrets. Do either of these work for what I need ?

I got my eyebrow pierced a little over two weeks ago. It's still pretty swollen, and for and for a few days there were clusters of tiny bumps where the redness is that itched pretty bad. I thought it was because instead of using sterile saline solution, i was using the standard pierced by claires aftercare solution so i stopped that and switched to sterile saline solution starting three days ago, and the bumps seem to be gone but the skin feels dry and the redness is still there. So like whats going on, and should i be worried about it or is this just part of the healing process? My piercer said the swelling should be down after five weeks and i'll need to get it downsized. Im just worried that there might be an allergy problem or its rejecting or something. I havent had problems with allergic reactions from piercings before, and i went to the same piercer for my navel two years ago and its doing fine. Help please 😭🙏

this is the second time this has happened. the first time was after getting the jewlery changed at a different shop than where i originally got it pierced. (i moved away from og shop). it went away before after about 2 months. i was messing with it too much then once i finally LITFA it healed. this randomly just happened again 2 days ago after going pretty solid for 1.5 months. no impact im aware of happened. only thing was i slept on that side. my partner gets pretty sweaty so when we are together its possible maybe his beard or sweat was on/around it?

i use sterile wound wash morning and night. i do use an anti bacterial face wash so im wondering if thats maybe affecting it too?

ive had it for almost 2 years. changed once at a different percing that originally done at. went back to original shop after the first incident of this happening. it went away. did not downsize then as the piercer said this was good as is. curved barbell. believe its implant grade steel.

I have collected all these pricing over the last 12 years but I feel like my right ear (with the hoop on the top) has a janky set up and I'm looking for jewelry inspiration or suggestions on how I could make it look less crowded ? I'm also trying to figure out if adding more piercings on the right or left might be fun TRULY not sure what to do and would love all and any ideas vibes feelings etc :) ♥️

So I just got my ears pierced today. The dude who did my piercing gave me saline spray to use and he said to use it 3 times a day? Do I just like spray it on my piercing all crazy. Or should I use a q-tip? All advice is appreciated.

Hi all, I am heavily interested in getting a lip piercing. However, I work in a Bakery and they have stated they don’t allow piercings while at work (which i understand the food safety risk)
If I were to get a lip piercing, any advice? I know taking it out during shift could cause it to close.
Any tips from my fellow restaurant employees with a new piercing?
