I know there are some actors who have had a certain sway on the story or arc of their character, more common in live action movies and shows though.

Like Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford famously workshopped lines in Star Wars. Carrie herself was a script doctor too.

And actors also try to get in the head of their characters, that's part of acting in general.

But yeah, a dub is a different beast, and then even considering that the actor is actually the character in any true sense of the word is another level entirely.

IIRC, for a number of years, she was the script doctor. If you were having problems, she's who you'd want to bring it to.

She was involved in Hook, which has generally poor reviews because people are stupid and wrong.
