I came to say this but scrolled to see if anyone already had. The story in 1 was new and interesting and the story was great. The gameplay wasn't bad, but you could counter kill anybody, so most combat turned into waiting for them to swing then stabbing them.

Imo the gameplay and story are both better in AC II

Accurate gif. 1's gameplay and story were way inferior to 2's.

I enjoyed playing AC1 a bunch.

About ten minutes into AC2 it made the first game feel like a tech demo.
