iOS [ios] Being flagged for CSAM {w.t.f} - version 2026.33.0

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi. So I am on [r/](r/QuitVaping)[QuitVaping](r/QuitVaping) trying to find this post I can’t find in my upvotes or history to refer it to someone else… one of the words I remember from the post is about how vaping a 5% “vuse” pod is like smoking 2-3 packs of cigarettes compared to smoking 1 pack of cigarettes.

Anyway, when I search “packs” in the QuitVaping Reddit, I get this warning [photo].

I googled to see if “packs” was a secret word to reference CSAM and nothing in coming up.

I would never want to see that kind of material and I certainly don’t want my account to be flagged as a user who searchers for that kind of material.

Is this a bug or intentional?

Thanks!

Android Android Reddit App not showing subreddits in feed version 2026.35.0

For about two weeks now.

Only random popular subreddits are showing up. I am in the "for you" filter and not "popular".

Samsung phone. I tried deleting/reinstalling the app. I am definitely logged into my account. When I try to access subreddits from my subreddit menu, it just says "uh oh, something went wrong... try again"

Reddit works perfectly in the browser and I am not having these issues there.

Desktop Web [Safari desktop + iOS][Safari can't load pages in new tab and general broken loading][Safari desktop (Version 26.6.2) + iOS (26.6.1)]

Hi,

I'm having a weird problem with Reddit specifically in Safari (both OS X and iPadOS). This bug has only started happening at some point in the last 48 hours.

If I open a page/thread/any link in a new background tab it won't load. Even when I go to the tab itself and hit refresh it won't load. Copy and pasting the address in the same tab won't load. I have to copy and paste the address in a new tab and watch it load (keep that tab the active tab) for it to work. If I navigate to the thread in the current window without it being in a new tab it does load but incredibly slowly.

I've tried clearing internet files/cache, restarting, relaxing privacy settings, updating DNS settings, basically everything to ensure this is a Safari+Reddit issue. Chrome does not have this issue.

Hoping this is a bug that is easily fixable.

iOS [iOS] Mobile web keeps freezing up in Safari -Version 18.6.2

The mobile website keeps totally freezing up in Safari. when loading, sometimes it’ll load only a quarter of the way, freeze up for a while and then the whole website will appear. when commenting on posts, mid comment, sometimes everything will just entirely freeze up. meaning I can’t continue typing, and I can’t scroll, however, I can switch to different tabs in Safari, close Safari, and use other apps. also, I’m not sure if this is related, but when I go to my profile, the post and comment tabs are gone.

Mobile Web (Mobile web) Why is the site making my phone overheat only when it’s charging?

I tried googling but I can’t seem to find an answer.

Whenever I use the home page of the mobile site while my phone is charging, my phone overheats and the charging slows dramatically. This only happens when it’s charging and it’s the only site this happens with. It doesn’t happen with the app either. It cools if I click on a post. I have no extensions though I feel that would affect more than just reddit.com and would be an issue when my phone isn’t plugged in.

Restarting did nothing. Updating did nothing. Clearing cache did nothing. I have no browser extensions. I’m signed into my account on the site.

Is the mobile homepage site just so bad now that just charging your phone is too much for it?

Android [Android] Comment jump button can no longer be pinned next to comment entry field - version 2026.35.0.2635090

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This issue just started today for me. It was also annoying that app updates would keep resetting the position of the comment jump button, but I could always put it back where I had it. As of today, however, I am no longer able to pin it next to the comment entry field; it just hovers over it instead. I'm a lefty and my favorite place to have it is on the bottom left of the screen, so this has been a bit annoying to deal with.

Android [ANDROID ] why? Caption links for r/ over u/ and small as f*(k!

Was this an issue before the latest update or is it the Mandela effect? Never had a problem to click on the link for the user {green} on a picture because it's squeezed under the community link {red} . Even on a tablet it's too tiny.

And I think the community link is unnecessary because ist above the pic in the feed {blue}

Opinions?

Desktop Web [Desktop Web] "We had a server error" banner, repeated password reset loop & desynced ban status

Post image
1 Upvotes

Environment & Device Information

  • Platform: Desktop Web (Reddit New) & API (OAuth Script)
  • OS: Windows 11
  • Browser: Chrome (Latest version, also reproduced in Incognito mode)
  • Affected Account(s): u/sub_doesnt_exist_bot (and companion bot u/same_post_bot)

Description

My account u/sub_doesnt_exist_bot is stuck in an inconsistent/corrupted account state across the web UI, public profile, and OAuth API endpoints:

  1. Web UI Error Banner: Every time I log into this account on desktop web, a persistent red banner appears across the top: "We had a server error..." (screenshot attached).
  2. Account Suspension & Password Reset Loop: I repeatedly get prompted that the account is suspended and to reset the password. I reset it successfully, but the following day, the system locks it again and requires another password reset.
  3. Desynced Ban State: When viewing https://www.reddit.com/user/sub_doesnt_exist_bot/ publicly / logged out, the page says "This account has been banned". However, I am still able to log in with valid credentials, navigate the site, and post/comment.
  4. OAuth / API Failure (invalid_grant): Attempting to authenticate the account via standard script OAuth (PRAW) fails immediately with invalid_grant even right after resetting the password.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to u/sub_doesnt_exist_bot on Reddit Web (reddit.com).
    • Result: Red banner "We had a server error..." immediately appears.
  2. Open an Incognito / logged-out tab and visit https://www.reddit.com/user/sub_doesnt_exist_bot/.
    • Result: Displays "This account has been banned".
  3. Attempt to authenticate the bot account via standard OAuth password grant (PRAW API).
    • Result: Fails with invalid_grant.
  4. Check account status / password prompt.
    • Result: Prompted into a recurring loop to reset password due to suspension.

Expected Behavior

  • If the account is in good standing:
    • No "We had a server error" banners on web login.
    • Public profile should load properly without a "banned" screen.
    • OAuth password grant authentication should succeed with valid credentials.
    • No repeated password reset triggers.
  • If the account was actioned/banned:
    • The account state should be consistent across all endpoints, and login/posting permissions should reflect the status with clear moderation notices.

Actual Behavior

The account is stuck in an inconsistent backend state where it is partially treated as banned/suspended (public 404/ban screen, OAuth blocked, recurring password reset flags) while still partially active in the web session (able to log in, but throws "We had a server error...").

iOS Reddit search on iOS iPhone locks up the Reddit App

Reddit search on iPhone locks up the Reddit App. I've updated to the latest version of Reddit on my iPhone. I've even un-installed uninstalled Reddit and reinstalled it. Since the last version of Reddit and for weeks now, 9 out of 10 times when I click the Search bar or the magnifying glass, Search opens partially but locks up Reddit. I can't click on anything else and I have to force close the Reddit App. Everything else seems to work. This happens like 9/10 times and I usually just give updoing a search in Reddit. Instead I do a Reddit search in Google and get some results within Reddit.

And then apparently my account appeared as if deleted even though I know I'm in good standing with high CQS and am currently not shadow banned. Is anyone else getting this or just me?

Desktop Web [Chrome]: show fewer posts like this not working for r/meowi

I keep choosing the 'show fewer posts' option for r/meowi and a pop up comes saying it "won't be recommended any more" but there it is again. normally when i choose 'show fewer posts' reddit stops showing me them but in this case meowi appears as every fourth post even after refreshing. anyone else had this problem? i really want my feed back to normal rather than getting spammed like this.
