I know its not much, but it was my first time financing a vehicle so it feels nice.

Bought this 2014 Jetta TDI Value Edition with a 6 speed manual in August 2020 at 48k miles with only one previous owner.

Now at 168k miles, here's what's been done.

-May 2022 first repair was drivers side strut replacement at 85k miles

-April 2024 DPF and intake manifold replaced under extended emissions warranty (just hardly made it) at 102k miles

-July 2024 replaced my bumper with a one from a junkyard after scratching the hell out of the vehicles original

-August 2024 replaced blower motor resistor at 113k miles

-August 2024 replaced original factory battery at 114k miles

-December 2024 replaced drivers side axle at 126k miles

-March 2025 replaced factory original pads and rotors all the way around. Lasted impressively long until 135k miles.

-April 2025 replaced EGT Sensor bank 1 at 143k miles

-June 2025 passenger strut replaced at 145k miles

-June 2025 is when I did my timing and waterpump job with all new everything at 147k miles

-July 2025 replaced both parking brake cables at 148k miles

-October 2025 replaced valve cover and gasket and injector plates/seals o-rings at 156k miles

-April 2026 reolaced both front lower control arms and sway bar end links at 163k miles

-April 2026 replaced siezed exhaust flap with one from a homie off this sub (thanks) at 164k miles

And thats all! All the work done by myself as well as oil/fuel filter changes.

Retrofitted fogs, put 17" audi wheels on, bought an Amazon rcd330 recently.

This car has taught me alot about working on cars and diesel engines, and hopefully ill keep it until it rots or blows up.

Hello I am looking for the best egr valve removal kit for a tdi 105 bkc what do you advise me

Just got the P0299 underboost code but can't seem to find a major leak turbo seems alright. On the outlet side of turbo where the pcv connects there is a bit of dampness and residue build up. Possible leak to cause that much underboost? I don't have a smoke tester at the moment

I see a lot of posts for regular delete kits. Anyone reccomend a full kit for a DPF/EGR and EGR cooler delete kit with a hoodstack and a tune? Looking at diesel DNA but I don’t see that it comes with a tune. 2014 Jetta TDi Wagon CJAA

This is my 1996 BMW 325tds. It's having what I think is an injection pump issue, but I'm not sure, just seeing if any 1.9 TDI owners have experienced anything similar as the injection pump is the same Bosch VP37 as y'all have, but for 6 cylinders instead of 4.

The issue is best described as a hesitation and/or almost misfire-y feeling when I begin accelerating after holding cruising speed for a while (almost never when accelerating from a stop). Sometimes it's worse than others, and it's always more noticeable in lower gears (not surprised by that). At it's worst power feels seems to cut completely for a quarter second before coming back like nothing happened, at slightly less worse it's a rough stumbly feel for the same ish time period and at it's best it's just feels like the throttle is lagging behind my pedal and has to jump up really quickly to catch up.

I can't consistently recreate this issue and I am yet to get a proper scan tool setup, so I can't help much with that.

Any help or thoughts are appreciated!

Did a EGR/DPF delete on my 09 Sportwagen. Stage 1 tune from tunezilla. Man this car is fun. Plus I get over 500 miles on a tank of diesel.

Out of curiosity I bought a 2012 Tiguan TDI (140ps) some years ago second hand it was so clean and used not very often so i bought it.

I just found out that there's a higher output model engine named the cfgb pushing 170 ps and about 30nm more of torque.

I want to know did I make the right choice getting the CFFB reliability long term ownership wise for a daily driver or I should've gone with the CFGB instead

So the title says it all. Do you guys think I need to replace my engine/tranny/dog bone mounts? I just had my brake booster hose tear on Monday with only 2k miles on it. I’m currently running an estimated 190hp/380ftlbs build in my 02 ALH. Idk what would cause the torn hose other than my engine rocking too hard. Maybe a faulty hose from the start? I have a pic of the torn hose if you guys want to see exactly what I mean

2013 vw beetle 2.0 130k miles. I just bought it knowing it had issues, but the owner didn’t know what those issues were. I am pretty mechanically inclined but this is my first TDI so I am learning. It had DPF, NOX Exceedance, boost pressure not reached. It runs but will not build any boost. And keeps making this rattle/banging noise from the emissions system area. When on the throttle the rattle gets extremely worse. Under hard acceleration the “diesel pre glow” light will blink. And the particulate filter light is on as well. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. I’m trying to figure it out.

With fuel prices these days, I’ve been trying to drive as economical as possible. This is from my commute to work, a 50km drive over some dirt roads and small country roads. Go through two small towns.

This is 51MPG over 31 mile.

I know my dash is scratched to shit and dirty lol. Dirt roads+open windows.

I've been trying to do some digging online to find information but I haven't been able to find boost figures for a stage 2 CJAA stated anywhere on Tunezilla's website or on forums. I am asking this because I ran some data logs yesterday and am not sure if my peak actual boost of 2400 millibar at 2898 rpm is something I should be concerned about (table and graph included, apologies for the messy pressentation). Does anybody know if these boost figures are anything out of the ordinary, or if anything looks off with these numbers? I'm still pretty new to TDIs and VAG cars in general so I'd appreciate any advice anybody is willing to give

Hello everyone back here again I’ve been recently talking to a person who is a European car technician he’s been leading me through troubleshooting ideas so I believe I had a fuel leak on the return side of the injector one due to the turn line just getting old so I replaced that and the leak is disappeared, but my ticket still there he is saying that one of the broken arm valve springs or valve tensioners is broken on cylinder one I took a video of it and it seems like one of them is out of place when the engine is turning over has anyone else had this type of problem and it create a misfire?

What’s the best way to go about Changing the alternator in a 2014 Jetta TDI SportsWagon CJAA? Any videos you guys recommend?

It looks like my 2012 Jetta Sportwagen TDI DSG is seeping diesel at two of the injectors. There’s a little splash of something at the front of the valve cover but I can’t tell if it’s diesel or oil. I figured I’d just try and replace it all at once. Do you guys have any tips for the job or recommendations for parts?

I see IDParts has an OEM kit but it doesn’t include the injector tensioning plates or the CCV breather tube. FCPEuro also has a kit that includes those two other parts but the valve cover is from Febi-Bilstein. Do I need those tensioning plates or the breather tube if they don’t look damaged? I’ve had recommendations to get a VCDS scanner and an injector puller. Are there any other tools I might need?

Any sort of info will help. I do basic maintenance on my vehicles and this is the first job like this I will be tackling

Im planning on going to see this jetta this weekend. The seller says he had done all of this work to it and that he did it himself as hes a former mechanic. Hes been transparent about all of the questions ive asked him about the car as im just anxious since this will be my daily driver if I were to get this. I just figured I'd ask here since im certain many people in this group are more knowledgeable on the TDI than I, as this would be my first diesel.

Edit: He did say the fuel filter was replaced a few months ago but the car hasn't been driven as the owner had moved to Florida and doesnt want to transport the car there due to the cost

I think my biggest concern is that, the seller has no documentation stating that this stuff was actually done as it was done by himself. But that could just be my anxious thoughts about this

Hi, Im trying to remove injectores of a passat 1.6 tdi, i need to get the injector 2 and 3 tested, because the injector 1 and 4 are already new (less than 20k km).

The injector 1 is already lose , but i can’t take out the others, they don’t move, im putting penetration spray on them for 3 a 4 days. But still can’t get it out.

Any tip.

I saw only that using injectors extractores, will broke this type of piezo injetores, so i would need new ones. Is that true? What is the correct extractor for rhis

I have a 2012 sportwagen, anyway the paint peeled off on the right front fender, and the left front fender has a dent in it now. How hard is to replace one of these? Also, can you get spray cans of the paint code premixed? I looked for used fenders on carpart and no color matched mine. It's a cheap run around car, and has pretty much had everything done to it, so hate to give it up.

Drove my Touareg 6 hours round trip the other day. Filled up on the way back and drove 158 miles but range was still at 600. Deleted and tuned and comfortable for long drives. I'm never getting rid of this thing.

I live in east TX and am wondering has anyone on here gone to a shop here and had a delete done? Preferably the longview, tx area.
