Thank you to everyone who participated! Answers that did not meet a minimum threshold may not appear on the presented graphs. Read below for Honorable Mentions, as well as What Were They Thinking?

Besides drugs, name something people can be addicted to.

  • Alcohool (typing is hard when you've been drinking)
  • Epiphanies (what?)

Besides mushrooms, what is a non-meat topping people get on a pizza?

  • Beef, Sausages, Tuna (vegetarian approved answers)
  • Mushrooms (maybe they were ON mushrooms when answering)
  • Bananas & Chocolate (and you thought pineapple was a sin)
  • French Fries
  • Grapes (no thank you)
  • Delicacies (huh?)

Besides taking drugs, what's do people do when they have a headache?

  • Aspirin, Ibuprofen, "Have Pain Relief Tablets" (all 3 notable for being drug-free)
  • Stop looking at screens (We could all take a lesson)
  • McDonald's Coke and Fries (Maybe not the fries, but hell yeah on the Coke)
  • They is do whatever. (You ok?)

Besides 4:20, what is a time of day or night that means something to people?

  • It's 10pm, do you know where your children are?
  • Sunrise
  • Time Birthday (Do they mean when the clock matches your birth month and day?)
  • 2.3 (???)

Besides the dangers of drugs, what do guest speakers talk about during school assemblies?

  • Absence (I honestly didn't know if they meant "too many students have been absent!" or they just misspelled "abstinence")
  • Tony touchtone taught me how to dial 911
  • Hoops for Heart (Yes, hula-hoop for your health!)
  • Yo-Yos (I remember this, those two guys showing how cool yo-yos are, everyone bought them, and then no one cared by next week)
  • Train accidents (in France lol) (Wouldn't it be funny if this was a presentation in the U.S. and it was just "French Train Accidents"?)

Besides drugs, what is way people get a natural high?

  • By reading incorrectly written sentences like this question (Did... did I mess up?)
  • Talking shit about people they hate (Damn, son)
  • Ladders (That's legit funny, kudos)
  • Epiphanies (Again?!)

Besides a variety of Coke, name a soft drink available in a Coke Freestyle (fountain) machine.

  • No one has ever said "coke freestyle" before; stop it. (They've been around for 17 years.)

Besides drugs, what is something people might buy on the street?

  • Iguana on a stick (filed under "street food")
  • A House (Everyone go home, this is the best answer)

Besides a weed, what is something a gardener would not want to find in their garden?

  • Weeds (reading comprehension is dropping)
  • Missing Plants (Technically, wouldn't you WANT to find your missing plants in your garden?)
  • Gregg Wallace
  • A Changeling (Even worse if he is in the form of Gregg Wallace)
  • Moose

Besides drugs, what is something you might buy at a marijuana dispensary?

  • Face tattooing (I've never had any desire to go into those trashy places, so I guess it's whatever trashy people like) (Geez, get off your high horse. Hehe... HIGH horse.)
  • Fake Pee
  • A book about marijuana perhaps?
  • Brownie mix?
  • CBF Oil? (Oooh, so close)
  • Girl what else do they have.............. (educate yourself, folks!)

Casual [Casual] Which Christian tradition do your actual beliefs line up with? (30 questions, ~8 min, Anyone who identifies as a Christian)

www.faithincommon.com

Reposting to meet guidelines better. I made a quiz that compares your answers to the official doctrine of 21 Christian traditions. Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Reformed, Baptist, Pentecostal, Adventist, LDS, and about a dozen more. 30 statements, answered on a 5 point agree/disagree scale.

Here's the problem I was trying to fix. Most "what denomination are you" quizzes really just test whether you recognize the vocabulary. If you know what words like
"sealed" or "covenant" signal, you can score as a devout member of a church you've never set foot in. So none of these statements name a church, a founder, or a place, and there's no insider jargon anywhere in them. Most statements are also affirmed by several traditions that would never lump themselves together, which makes it hard to guess your way to a flattering result.

Ideal for those with a Christian background. "Not sure" is a real answer to every statement and scores everything neutrally, so there's no penalty for having no opinion.
There's a feedback button under every statement too. If one reads badly or you think l've stated your tradition wrong, tell me there and I'll fix it.

No signup, no ads, nothing saved. Your answers stay in your browser and the result gets packed into the URL instead of a database.

Ask me anything about how the weighting works. There's a 61 question version if you want a sharper read.

Parental Guidance? Who needs it! Can you name something that jiggles? A word that rhymes with "itch"? Something with a hole?

If you're snickering at these, then this quick survey will tickle your entire funny bone. (Hehe, bone.) Once enough responses are collected, Results Will Be Posted! Party on!

Casual How do you open a banana? (Global, 18+)

I'm doing an independent research project to find out: How do you open a banana?

Link to survey: https://hannahjresearch.pages.dev/?survey=banana-2026-09

It's anonymous. I collect only your response and country code. No sign-in required.

I will post back results!

Edit: No longer just 18+ That restriction was a habit from academic research, but since this poll only stores response + country code, so there's no reason for the age limit.

Academic How has an anime/anime character changed your life for the better?(Everyone)

Hi everyone!

I’m doing a research project about how media can influence people and society, and I’m specifically looking at the impact anime and anime characters can have on people’s lives.

I’d love to hear from you guys:

  • What anime or character had the biggest positive impact on your life?
  • How did they change you?
  • Did they teach you something, change the way you think, motivate you, or help you through a difficult period?
  • If you’re comfortable sharing, was there a specific story or experience that shows how they affected you?

There’s no “wrong” answer — it can be a really popular character or someone much less well-known.

IMPORTANT: If you’re okay with me potentially using your response as data for my research project, please start your response with CONSENT in all caps.

I will NOT include anyone’s name, username, or other identifying information in the project.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond! I’m genuinely interested in hearing your stories.

Casual (Repost) Will you buy this bracelet? (Everyone)

Thumbnail forms.gle
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone! First, thank you for all the feedback on the name "YUAN" and our brand idea in my last post. It was genuinely helpful, and we’re now one step further in building YUAN Bracelet :)

The idea comes from the Chinese concept of Five Elements (五行). Everyone has a different Five Elements profile, so the gemstone recommendations, and ultimately the bracelet you create, can be different for each person.

The experience would look something like this:

Discover your Five Elements → get personalized gemstone recommendations → customize the design yourself → create a bracelet meant for you.

You still choose the colors, gemstones, and style you love. The Five Elements simply give the bracelet a more personal starting point and story.

We’re curious whether Eastern culture can inspire a modern, personal jewelry experience, rather than another generic “mystical crystal store.”

So I’m especially curious:

Would this kind of personalization make a bracelet feel more meaningful to you, or would you still rather choose a finished design and check out?

I made a short 4–5 minute anonymous survey with a product preview to test the idea. We’re still very early, so positive and negative feedback are equally useful.

https://forms.gle/SeEfcKANEgavybPD7

As a thank-you, I’ll also select a few participants to receive a free personalized YUAN Bracelet when our first batch is ready 🎁

And if you don’t feel like taking the survey, feel free to tell me what you think in the comments. I’d genuinely love to hear it.

Academic (Repost) [Academic Repost] How Language Shapes Understanding - with Memory Scores & Detailed Debrief at the End (anyone 17+)

If you have some time to spare, please consider taking part. The study is relatively long but you can have it open in the background on your laptop and return to it whenever you have a bit of time.

This experiment took ages to set up so that participants get good insights into the research behind the study and their own results upon completion. As a result, I don't have super much time to recruit participants...

What do we mean by human understanding? This study builds on ongoing research exploring what determines how easily we process, understand, and remember language.

The experiment takes up to 60-90 minutes if you complete both parts (though this varies by participant - can be much quicker!), including a memory test that you can re-take after 7 days to see how much your memory has declined over time. The only requirement for taking part is that you are 17 or over. Using a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended.

Please copy the below link into a new browser window or email me via [c.seyfried@dundee.ac.uk](mailto:c.seyfried@dundee.ac.uk) if interested. Thank you! 😄

All the best,

Responses will be reviewed in aggregate to decide whether the proposed tool should be built. No product is currently available.

Marketing App idea validation survey: restaurant memories & recommendations (All ages)

Thumbnail forms.gle
Upvotes

Hey everyone! My partner and I are exploring an idea for an app called Tast, focused on saving food memories with the people you were actually with, and discovering new restaurants through friends instead of anonymous reviews.

It doesn't exist yet, this is a very early validation survey, so we're genuinely trying to figure out if this solves a real problem or if it's something people already do fine without an app. Honest "this isn't for me" answers are just as useful to us as enthusiastic ones, so please don't feel like you need to be nice about it.

Takes about 3-5 minutes. Thanks a lot for your time!
