This is more of a personal moral dilemma but can I want to be a cop but not for power and still be punk please give honest opinions
so I’d describe myself as into the punk or atleast alt scene but i really like punk music and history and all that, but I want work as a major crimes detective in the future. to do that you need to work as a cop for like 5 year. I don‘t want to be a cop but detective work is the only felid I can see myself going into. mostly because I how peoples personal bias towards people like sex workers influence their care for victims infuriating and I believe that the best way to change something like that is to be the good ig. I know this is a long post and probably shouldn’t be in this sub but any advice is appreciate.

[New Album] Poor Boys Club - Punk Rock Soulmate
Hello, I am Jack from Poor Boys Club and I’m excited to introduce you to our 3rd album, Punk Rock Soulmate
This ambitious concept album just dropped after over 2 years of blood, sweat, and tears. Can’t speak for the rest of the band, but I feel it’s my best creative work yet
What begins as a seemingly innocent romance story spirals into unhealthy obsession, toxic jealousy, heartbreak, and self-destruction uncovering some pretty dark stuff. This album challenges toxic masculinity through an unreliable narrator with a crippling victim complex who blames his ‘Punk Rock Soulmate’ and the world around him for his own poor self-esteem and shortcomings.
Anyways, we’re proud of this and would appreciate if you could give it a listen!

Free codes in celebration of album's 30th anniversary🎊
Our debut album "The Scapegoat's Agony" turned 30 last November so we are giving away some free codes to celebrate this anniversary just a little bit longer🙂:
https://comabeach.bandcamp.com/album/the-scapegoats-agony
The album title "The Scapegoat's Agony" is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points towards the – for the most part – painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero.
Our musical influences range from Sex Pistols, Ramones, Hüsker Dü, Joy Division, The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain to Guns N' Roses, Therapy? and Bad Religion, with our songs frequently straddling the line between punk rock and alternative rock.
