how is this community feeling about the amount of sprites?

I know we don't have to collect all of em, but, i kinda wish we won't end up with another 100+ 😅

I personally won't be explicitly trying to collect em all, I haven't even played in any power hours yet this season.

Maybe if the "Mastery" track gets better rewards... like, a free sprite sidekick (or something special like that) maybe that would be more motivating... but as someone that hasn't even used the sprite backbling from last season, (and i don't do online trades) it's gonna be hard putting in effort. 🥴

I've managed to get the other 3 base sprites but haven't seen the Xray sprite anywhere.

Does it even exist?

I love that they edited the Crown Sprites since the beginning of the season, specifically to make it easier to achieve the next stage/master it. But it's insane to me that you can go an entire match with this thing, come in second, and then have to rebuy the sprite itself. It, imo, adds insult to injury.

Due to the nature of how we level these sprites up, I think it would be fair to make this the one exception to the sprite dust rule, and allow these sprites to always be free when being recalled. Alternatively, they could cost a reduced amount based on how long you survive a match.

Example: (Number of people left in match & sprite dust reduction to rebuy)

70-100 = 100% of cost

50-70 = 60% of cost

30-49 = 40% of cost

11-29 = 30% of cost

Top 10 = 10% of cost

Top 5 = Free

What is everybody's thoughts on the Crown Sprite this season, and do you have any ideas that could make them a little easier to collect?

Edit: Ive been out of the videogame scene for 12 years so maybe my complaint as pointed out is actually standard across the board for gaming communities. ugh.

I'll preface this I am brand-new to fortnite and started playing 2 months ago. This subreddit seems ok but legit all I see is pure hate in most reddits for fortnite. It seems no matter what Fortnite team does players hate it.

Fortnite: remove cute sprites and add in boxy sprites.

Community: This sucks I miss my old sprites these new ones are terrible and poorly designed.

Fortnite: release update with cute sprites and more abilities.

Community: Omg I hate it why are they listening to us now they are mixing boxy sprites with cute sprites and they expect us to collect more sprites with new abilities that we asked for.

Bots suck, players are op, but I want to wreck all lobbies, but I want the battles to be super close all the time, but not too sweaty because OMG I need to extract my sprites and how dare any player attack me while I extract.

Most of the time, this time included everyone is coming across as some prepurberty whiner.

I just played a game with Adventure sprite equipped. Mid-match I reached level 5 and it said “Sprite Mastered”. I eventually came in 2nd. When I got back to the lobby, it was still equipped… didn’t need to be summoned, even though I didn’t win. Did they change something this season?

Edit: Even though I mastered it mid-match (without extracting?) and came in 2nd… when I got back to the lobby, it was still equipped… at level 3?

I think Spiro sucks. They could have done better. He's annoying and he looks bad. It's probably my nostalgia making a better memory from PS1 than was reality but I'm not going to acknowledge that... I'm just gonna complain. As soon as I'm done unlocking everything for him, I'm going back to my direwolf. The direwolf pups rock.

I can’t tell if it’s just me, but since yesterday’s updates I’ve been seeing two new icons on the visual audio wheel. One looks like a volume icon, and one is…like an oblong oval shape with dots? The second is rare to see, but the volume one comes up whenever there’s footsteps near by. Just playing Zero BR. I die before I can take a photo, sorry!
What do these new icons mean?

Straight up robbery. I was just minding my business. Sweeper Shotgun is way better than the 8-Bit.

Usually play with wifey and would like to find another duo/ couple to game with but honestly down to play with anyone that’s chill and doesn’t take it too seriously.
We are not very skilled but we can hold our own and occasionally get the accidental win.

So jump into a match, press my normal button for ‘Interact’ and it doesn’t work!

Fortnite changed mapping, with today’s update 😡, now have to try and remember what things I have changed. Great start 🤣

Did anyone else’s sound suddenly change, I use 2 different headsets, and now one sounds like an echo chamber, and the other sounds like a tin roof sound emulator?

I play on mobile and so far I can’t work out what’s happening, all I know is everything was great pre-update and now my ingame sound is whacky af

If it’s just me I might delete and reinstall, thought I better ask around first

So I am a first time Fortnite player who is enjoying the game with my kids.

Are there any Tips and Tricks that you all of picked up along the way?

Any interesting Map interactions or hidden animations that I can "impress" my kids with?

I dropped out of gaming around 2012/14 and started my FPS gaming career with Beta counterstrike so I'm pretty confident on the mechanical side of shooters. I'm still getting used to the ultra mobility side though!!

Specifically zero build for me.og worked earlier but it was bugged collecting materials in zero build.

Twice now I have made the 5 purchases at a sprite dust Service Station and it isn't showing that quest completed. Anyone else having this issue? Playing on Xbox if it matters.

Looking for a consistent group to play Fortnite and make friends

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some consistent people to play with and hopefully become regular gaming friends. I recently came back to the game after a long break, and to be completely honest, I don't consider myself a great player. My aim isn't perfect, but I am actively trying to get better!

My style is a bit different—I’m definitely a support player. I don't usually do close-range, aggressive fights. Instead, I like to stay patient, find high angles, and use things like vents and shockwaves to constantly change locations and stay above the action. My favorite thing to do is keep an eye on my teammates from a distance and help cover them or pull them out of trouble when they need a safe spot to run to.

I really just want to find some kind, patient people who don't mind a teammate with a less aggressive style, and who won't get upset if a match goes wrong, if I miss a shot, or if I go down. Just looking for a relaxed, fun environment!
