I’m looking for some genuinely romantic movies. The kind that actually make you feel something and stay with you after the credits roll.

I’m open to movies from any country or decade. I’d especially love recommendations where the romance feels natural rather than forced.

What’s the one love story you’d recommend to someone who wants to watch something really romantic? ❤️🎬

Personally, I think a villain with an understandable motive is usually more interesting, but sometimes a completely evil villain is just more fun to watch.

Honestly still blows my mind that Bob Odenkirk never won a single Emmy for playing Jimmy McGill.

He played that role for 6 seasons and gave one of the best dramatic performances on TV, period. Taking a funny side character from Breaking Bad and turning him into this tragic, complex lead was just insane work. But somehow the Emmys ignored him every single time (and gave the show zero wins out of 53 nominations, which is just crazy):

Was it just terrible timing going up against guys like Bryan Cranston and the Succession cast? Or does the Academy just hate slow burn character shows and prefer loud flashy drama?

Ridley Scott is either losing his mind, or trolling us all … A few years ago, he told Empire Magazine that “Gladiator II” was “the best thing I’ve ever made” and confided to the AP, “I think it’s my best film.” When the time finally came to see the film, well, it wasn’t.

That happened again in June 2026, when Scott told The Buyer that “The Dog Stars” is “probably the best movie I’ve done since The Martian.”

A few months later, “The Dog Stars” has been panned by critics (40% on Rotten Tomatoes) and bombed at the box office ($7M opening weekend), and he’s now denying to AlloCine that he ever claimed ‘Dog Stars’ was his best film since “The Martian.”

Interviewer: you’ve said “The Dog Stars” was your best movie since “The Martian.”

Scott: I didn’t say that. Somebody else said that. Since “The Martian”? I’ve done some great movies since then. I did ‘Gucci’ .. “The Last Duel” is great.

I know the movie definately has some issues but I laughed out loud multiple times (can't remember the last time that happened) and love that they embraced the wackiness and I wouldn't mind another sequel.

Imo a video game adaptation done right.

What do you guys think about it?

He is one of my favorite actors. I generally enjoy any character he has played over the years. Lorne Malvo in Fargo and Ed Crane in The Man Who Wasn't There are probably my two stand outs from his impressive repertoire. Obviously Sling Blade deserves a mention as well. Which one do you enjoy the most?
