My interview experience — it was actually really simple!
I just wanted to share my interview experience because I was SO nervous before it 😭 but honestly, it turned out to be very simple and easy.
I had other applicants with me in the interview, and honestly, having them there made me feel much less nervous and anxious. The professor was also very understanding and made the whole experience feel comfortable.
The questions were mainly about:
Introducing myself
My previous education and the stages of my studies
Why I want to study Chinese
Why I chose China
What my plan is after finishing this one-year Chinese program
I was really nervous and I don’t think I spoke as well as I wanted to 😭 I forgot some words and struggled a little while answering, but the professor was very understanding and patient.
And we all passed the interview! 🥹❤️
So if anyone is preparing for the interview and feeling super nervous like I was, don’t overthink it. It was much lighter and simpler than I expected.

Congrats on passing, that's awesome. I was sweating bullets before mine too but these interviews are usually way more chill than we imagine, professors just want to see you're actually interested and not a complete robot

your plan after the program is to keep studying or try find work there?

Congratulations! They usually want to meet you, assess your spoken Chinese a bit, and get a sense of who you are and what motivates you. You obviously performed well enough. Enjoy your studies.
