I purchased the Bolt for my gig work (Amazon) so I will be putting on about 5000 miles/month, will post my progress with the Bolt! So far the EV is great!!!!

Eastern Canada here. I have been looking at buying a used Bolt and finding it difficult to get a good deal. The prices in used ones seem relatively high, compared to the incentivized cost of a new 26/27 Bolt, which comes with faster DC charging.

On the website I can build and price an LT with sun roof and vented seats and it comes in at CAD$37k net.

Wondering if any Canadians here who have recently purchased wouldn’t mind sharing how much they paid for their 26/27 Bolts? Would like to consider if it’s better value to go with a new one, but not really sure how much they go for out the door.

In my opinion, this would be really good if the direction description can be moved a little up or to the side to give more view for the street view.

Just curious if anyone has experience with this. At 59k km I had both axles replaced under warranty due to the anti-click washer... Dealer told me that would have been around 1500$ if not under warranty. The repair work was done on the 19th of Aug, 2025.

Let's fast forward 53 weeks to about now. I have had a knocking noise at random during acceleration or turns for a few weeks now. As I was out of warranty, I took my vehicle into a reputable shop in town. They discovered that there is excessive play (bushing/bearing) on the front right axle.

Less than 30k km has passed since my warranty repair in August of 2025.

The dealer will go 50/50 with me which will run me around $300 for my portion of the repair. I was told I could drive for upwards of a month while I go through the process with GM to dispute this repair. I don't want to pay a single cent...

Has anyone else had issues like this or any experience getting GM to cover something like this out of warranty?

Unfortunately, in three years I've had a fair number of service appointments with both regarding the axle being the most serious... It really has soured me on GM.

The pack was replaced but no new battery warranty issued. Trying to figure out if the range is a real problem or just the 80% recall cap.

Correcting something I said in another thread — I'd said they only replaced the 12V. That was wrong, and I want the details straight.

Here's the timeline from the GM Global Warranty Management printout for the VIN:

• **05/27/2025, 67,620 mi** — N212345944 completed (the advanced diagnostic software recall)
• **06/27/2025** — sold CPO to owner #2 at 67,623 mi
• **08/03/2025, 70,180 mi** — "Bolt Battery (large pack) Exchange"
• **08/07/2025, 70,180 mi** — "Verify Battery Identification Number and Latest HPCM2 Programming"
• **02/06/2026, 70,197 mi** — GM repurchases the car. Reason on the form: "High Voltage Battery Failing"
• **03/06/2026, 70,199 mi** — "Battery Replacement" — this one is the 12V
• **03/31/2026** — sent to GM closed auction

So the pack got exchanged in August 2025, the car drove **19 miles** over the next six months, and GM bought it back anyway. The California Warranty Buyback Notice lists the repair correcting the HV defect as: *"RO#702516 Replaced 12 volt battery, Road tested OK."*

Car now shows ~70,800 mi. At 100% charge the dash reads 196–202 miles. Rated is 259.

**Two things I can't make sense of:**

**1. Why no new battery warranty after the pack exchange?** The only battery coverage on the printout is the original EV Propulsion Battery Wty running 10/02/2020 to 10/02/2028 / 100,009 mi. I've seen another Bolt's printout where a pack exchange generated a separate "Bolt Battery Limited Part Warranty" with a fresh 8-year term from the install date. Mine has nothing like that. Is that normal for a non-recall warranty replacement, or does it suggest the pack wasn't actually swapped?

**2. Could the 196–202 miles just be the recall's 80% cap?** N212345944 completed at 67,620 mi. GM's FAQ says the software holds the pack at 80% SOC for ~6,200 miles and then releases to 100% automatically. 67,620 + 6,200 = ~73,820, and the car is at 70,800. 80% of 259 = 207. That's really close to what I'm seeing. But the dash says "Fully Charged" with the bar at the top, which I'd expect to look different under a target-charge limit. Would a pack exchange three months later have reset that counter?

Also relevant: the car sat on a dealer lot from roughly May to August 2026 doing short lot moves, so the BMS has had almost no real driving to learn from since the pack went in.

**What I've asked for and haven't gotten:** the BIN, the repair order behind the August 2025 exchange, whether the post-replacement capacity relearn was performed, and HPCM2 data beyond cell voltages. I got one line on an invoice from a second dealer — all cells at 3.62V, none down on voltage. Three different explanations for why nothing else is available: no equipment, state law, and the file can only be opened in GDS2.

I never took delivery. Car is still on their lot. I've asked to unwind the deal.

Mainly posting because I'd like to know whether #1 and #2 have innocent explanations. If the pack really is a year old with 600 miles on it and the range is just the charge cap plus an unlearned BMS, that's a different car than what I've been assuming.

Hello! I just got a new Bolt. I've got a couple questions - hopefully not repeating previous posts.

1. Is there a way to disable automatic door locking? I see auto-unlock options, but no auto-lock.

2. I kind of hate the seat vibration/red blinking for collision avoidance. I understand it's a safety feature, but I get so many false positives, even when just feathering the accelerator in one-pedal mode when coming to a stop behind a car, and yeah I usually leave good space to the car in front. I found I can turn this off, but then it just resets itself back on enabled next time I start driving. What's the point in that? Is there a way to permanently shut it off?

As of today, I'm a new Bolt owner! Blue LT! Loving it. Except one issue. On the car, it says to finish setting up my profile and prompts me to log into MyChevrolet. I have the app on my phone and am logged in. On the car, if I select to log in via my phone, and scan the QR code, the phone says it's looking for the car, and the car says it's looking for the phone, but they can't find each other. Yet I am connected by bluetooth. If I say "log on on the car" (or whatever the wording), I put in my email and password and it spins for a while and says I must accept the agreement. But there's no way to do it there on the car screen. All that's on that screen, under "you must accept the agreement" (I'm paraphrasing, it says something slightly different) is a log in button and if I tap that, I have to put in my email and password again. Any ideas? It is an old phone, but that's why I opted to log on through the car interface. I just don't understand how to accept the agreement when it doesn't show me an agreement to accept.

Can anyone tell me what I should be looking/feeling when I try the different driving modes? They all seem the same to me. Thanks in advance.

Eastern Pennsylvania. Car is clean at 10,000 miles. Ice blue color. No moonroof or super cruise, but not interested in the super cruise. Tires are in average shape. Dealer currently asking ~$25k out-the-door, on a ~$23k list price.

Doesn't seem loaded with features for a Premier and price feels high but mileage seems extremely low. Thoughts?

Sitting in the car while it’s charging, waiting in school line, when I uber and waiting on a passenger, even at the car wash while the car is off and I’m vacuuming… this random horn blowing is about to drive me insane. How do I turn this thing off !!! I turned the remote key alert thingy off …. But geez. Im in the car ! Why are you honking lol.

Made for Tesla but it will fit the Bolt (works with my 2018).

You'll have to remove the two rubber strips and place them lower and it won't go all the way down, but it fits and is very stable.

I have no affiliation, just love this thing - it's notchy and mechanical. Was thinking of 3D printing my own, but decided to just get this one and I don't regret it.

I've had my 2027 Bolt for a few weeks now and overall I really like the car, but three things are starting to get to me. I'm curious what other owners have done about them.

1. Lumbar support doesn't come out far enough

This surprised me because when I test drove the car — and even during the first few days — I thought the seat was pretty comfortable. After spending more time in it, though, I've realized that even with the lumbar adjustment all the way out, I want considerably more support.

Has anyone found a good solution? I'm interested in anything from a really good lumbar cushion to modifying/padding the seat itself. Ideally I'd like something that feels integrated into the seat rather than having a big pillow strapped to it.

1. The factory stereo is pretty mediocre

I looked seriously at upgrading the stereo, but the system I was quoted was getting close to $2,000 CAD, which is more than I want to spend.

I'm not trying to build a competition system. I just want fuller, cleaner sound, better bass and a little more volume/headroom. Has anyone found a worthwhile middle-ground upgrade on the 2027?

In particular, I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has:

replaced just the factory speakers

added a small amp

added a compact/powered sub

done some combination of those without spending a fortune

What gave you the biggest improvement per dollar?

1. Google built-in / infotainment feels much more limited than my phone

I actually like having Spotify built directly into the car, and Google Maps integration is useful. My problem is that the interface feels pretty restrictive once you start trying to browse through Spotify, find particular music/podcasts, scroll through larger libraries, etc.

And because there's no Android Auto/CarPlay, I can't just fall back on all the apps and interfaces I normally use on my phone. The selection of useful third-party apps available through the car's Play Store also seems pretty thin.

Has anyone figured out a good way to live with this?

Are there useful apps in the automotive Play Store that I'm overlooking? Better ways of controlling Spotify or browsing your library? Voice commands that make it considerably easier? Or are people basically using Bluetooth and their phones for anything the built-in system doesn't do well?

None of these are deal-breakers — I still really like the Bolt. They're just the three things that have become noticeable after living with it for a few weeks.

Interested in what other 2027 owners have actually done rather than what should theoretically work.

Lots of people have posted issues with their half shaft / anti click washers. I had a mild metallic noise at low speeds that I thought was the the rear suspension, took it to the dealer and paid through the nose for them to inspect and say "all looks fine"

Bit of googling later, parts ordered and a much friendlier local suspension shop charged me 30 minutes labour for new washers and axle nuts installed.

Now, I do live in Canada and this gets commuted year round weather wise, but yeash I'm curious if anything more long lived can be done to replace these obviously poorly designed parts, or if I am just going to replace them every couple years.

23' with 33080 km when swapped

I have winters on separate rims. I might have to toss them on for the week I guess.

New 2027 Bolt owner here, and first time full EV owner as well. My previous ICE cars have failed due to various leaks that were too expensive to repair, or transmissions issues.

What is the most likely thing to fail first on a Bolt? Is it just the battery lifetime?

Went camping and slept in the 27' model overnight to test out what others have written. Here's my experience with some tips for others wanting to try it:

• I'm 6' and slept on a sleeping pad. Even angled with the front seats fully forward I needed 1" more space to fully stretch out.
• You need about a 19" padding to put between the backseat gap and the front seats to fully lay down. I used a duvet storage bag that was perfect.
• Getting in and trying out the camping mode hack turns the front and back lights on and you make some noise opening and shutting the door, turning on the infotainment, etc... So it was a little disruptive to the campsites around me while I figured it out. Not a huge issue if you're more secluded.
• Infotainment stays on the whole night. You can turn that off manually but I wanted to make sure things were running properly so I just covered it with a t-shirt.
• AC ran overnight on 22C* low fan and used 8% battery over about 7 hours.
• It rained overnight so I had to turn my windshield wipers off because they were on automatic sensor mode and kept going off.
• Having the sunroof package makes for a great view going to sleep and waking up. Also makes it feel less claustrophobic.

Overall had some nerves overnight wondering if I set it up properly and the AC wouldn't shut off after an hour. Also had worry that I was draining the 12v battery somehow overnight. Both weren't an issue.

I would do it again in a situation where I was joining a larger group who had more space to brung camping gear but it might be too small to both sleep in and have your own gear. I suppose you could pack really light.

I also can't imagine fitting two people unless both are on the shorter side.

Any word when Chevy will bring back the $1,250 stackable executive Costco discount for the 2027 Bolt?

I would like to have a hitch installed for a hitch-mounted bike rack.

Alternatively, is there anyone out there who has figured out how to transport more than one bike in their 2027 Chevy Bolt ? With the backseats down, I can get my road bike in, but it’s a struggle to fit my larger cross bike, and sometimes I want to carry two bikes.

One wheel speed sensor went out and the dealer said it was the anti-click washer that damaged itand they’d have to replace the washer, sensor and wheel hub for $1500.

We took it to an independent shop that is very highly rated and claims to do a lot of EVs (we did see another Bolt there). They wanted to do the same repair. I pushed on the necessity of the hub replacement and in a nutshell, they said “it usually gets damaged” when doing this repair.

It still wasn’t cheap but it was a lot less than the dealer.

Afterwards it occurred to me that this might just be them not wanting to take the time to deal with removing the hub non-destructively? I know those bolts could be pretty seized up after 8 years… but I see people here getting the click washer replaced with 30m of shop time. They did NOT want to proactively replace the other washer. Can someone explain what’s going on?
