Anyone besides me planning to attend one of the listening streams on Bandcamp tomorrow for the upcoming new album? There's an earlier stream for European listeners and a later one for USA...

This entire album reminds me a little bit of Ray of Light by Madonna

It's a bit unprofessional-sounding and 75:57 minutes is certainly too long, but I found this ✨LP✨ quite enjoyable
It's more ambient-like compared to what few mainstream trip-hop albums I've heard and it also has a futuristic flair to it (reminds me of 100th Window by Massive Attack)
09.Winds Of Change and 14.Nupital Hop are hidden gems in my opinion

Hi guys, me and a friend of mine started a project called "Scattered Frequencies" focused on slow tempos - mainly triphop & downtempo, with slow breaks and IDM and Dub. Check it out:)
cheers

@QualityAware6605
This is an extraordinary amount of emotional investment in someone else's upvote count.
I think you're confusing two completely different things: your disappointment witg the engagement of new artists and my reaponsibility for the number of people who happened to upvote a picture of an album they recognize.
I didn't tell anyone not to listen to new artists. I didn't create the voting habits of an entire subreddit. I posted an album I like, and apparently more than 100 people liked seeing it.
If you're genuinely concerned about new artists receiving attention, that's super cute and admirable. But screenshotting someone else's post, counting its votes, and writing a small manifesto about how unfair it is thst people enjoyed it is a rather strange way of demonstrating that concern, my guy.
You see, Tricky having an established audience isn't exactly a conspiracy. That's generally what happens when an artist has spent decades making music people know.
You are, of course, perfectly free to promote new artists. You are also perfectly free to be annoyed that Reddit users aren't behsving according to your preferred engagement distribution. What you aren't entitled to is an explanation for why strangers upvoted something you personally think received too much attention.
Anyway, congratulations on turning my CD photo into a 500-word sociology paper. I hope it was worth the screenshot. 😉

Round 1 is in and we’re down to 16 albums. Now we move on to Round 2.
To vote, copy the ballot into one top-level comment and put your pick after each matchup. Artist or album name is fine. You can skip up to three matchups if you don’t know both albums well enough, but please vote in at least five of the eight.
Vote for the album you genuinely prefer as a complete record. This isn’t about an artist’s entire career or which album is supposed to win.
A few ground rules:
Round of 16 ballot
Feel free to explain the picks that gave you trouble. Half the fun is seeing where everyone agrees and where the bracket gets contentious. Just keep it friendly.

I am looking for any and all!
Some examples that I've found so far are much of the Silent Hill franchise (obviously), a couple from Parasite Eve 1-2, Alien Conflict from Perfect Dark, much of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and Crystal Teardrops from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
The criteria for what sort of music I'm looking for is a little loose, which allows for songs like Shooting Star Summit from Paper Mario and Ops 2 from System Shock 2 to fit nicely on this playlist, and a handful from TimeSplitters 2 and Half Life 2 juuuust barely make the list as well. My fondness towards synths are made apparent here.
I'm less than fruitfully working through a list from a post I found on Facebook which recommended games like Ape Escape which more heavily skewed towards jungle, and Deus Ex which was too cheesy and didn't quite lock into a groove I liked anyway. Am still working through the list though, Ratchet and Clank is next.
I am not expecting anything to hit like Heaven's Night and Alone in the Town from Silent Hill 2 but it's worth a shot!
PS I just found this thread from 10 months ago which I'm going to prioritize in my search but I feel like another callout couldn't hurt.
