Tldr included.
I know similar questions have been asked a few times, however I think my situation is a little bit different.
I live in the UK and weed is illegal here. When I was about 15 or 16, I got my hands on edibles for the first time. I did them with some friends in a field, and it felt great. Well, I couldn’t feel much, aside from being very giggly and excited.
We had quite a bit left, so I asked to share the rest of it with my friends. They said no, and so stupidly I took the whole thing for myself. Dumb, I know.
Anyway, I start to feel like I’m in a dream. I think about something and I daydream and the world around me feels like it’s unreal. This causes me to have what I now know it to be, a panic attack. The only thing that feels better is walking around, and I can only assume grounding myself.
Eventually I recover from that, have a few small smoke sessions over the next few years where I either don’t feel anything whatsoever, or immediately I go into that dream-like panic attack state.
I’m 20 now, and I haven’t done weed in at least 2 years. However getting older, my mates are wanting to go abroad to places like Amsterdam where it’s legal, and they smoke weed more in general. This has led to me wanting to give weed another chance, however, I don’t know how to safely get used to the feeling or prevent myself from overthinking and overanalysing my body every time I smoke. I assume my tolerance is so low that either I feel nothing from not ingesting / inhaling enough because I’m scared of getting too high again, or having a panic attack because I’m noticing every weird feeling or pain in my chest.
So what should I do, trying to enjoy weed again?
TLDR: got too high on my first or second time doing weed years ago, get very anxious almost immediately, want to try it again after a long time but I’m scared of getting too high and freaking out again.
