Announcement Announcement Regarding the Doc Situation - “Truth takes time.”

After several months of reviewing all available evidence, including court records, public statements, and the actions of both parties, the moderation team has reached a conclusion.

Based on what we’ve seen, the subreddit has decided to lean in favor of Doc.

It’s important to acknowledge that Doc’s current homelessness has been documented and recognized by the court, and multiple community members have personally confirmed that Doc has gone without food for extended periods, with some stepping in to help by purchasing meals for him.

We also recognize that Cosmographic Software has played a significant role in agitating and escalating the situation, contributing to the harm and instability Doc has faced.

In addition, many community members were banned from the SpaceEngine Steam Hub simply for sharing verified information, asking legitimate questions, or expressing support for the truth. Some were even accused of “defamation” for statements that were, in fact, grounded in documented facts. This has created a chilling effect on open discussion, something we firmly stand against.

A more detailed follow-up post will be shared soon, once Doc is in a safe place to have a discussion and participate in a proper Q&A session.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we worked through this complex and sensitive situation. Thank you to those who engaged respectfully, sought truth over rumor, and allowed time for a fair and thorough review.

EDIT: For those asking for more information on the matter, here is a YouTube of Doc explaining in his own words.

Question How to get Great Realistic Visuals from Space Engine?

I'm Totally New to Space Engine, I just bought it yesterday on Steam, and i don't see many guides on visuals besides one made using an AI Voiceover i found on youtube and i don't know if that video is really accurate or not, so i wanted to take asking about visuals to the community because I don't know heads or tails of the visuals

First, My pc specs are: Ryzen 7 5800x3d, 32gb DDR4, AMD RX 7700XT 12GB GDDR6

okay specs out the way, i want to max out the colors and visuals so they look accurate, vibrant, and realistic if that makes sense, and I'm not sure how to go about that, i mean i can tune settings well, just not necessarily Space Engine's i know there's steam workshop stuff but I'm not sure which Mods to download to maximize realism, color accuracy and Color vibrancy, sorry if i repeated myself I'm not very good with explaining my thoughts as well as i like :(

Any Advice And Suggestions will help thank you so much!

Question Is there a way to generate perspective that translates well to 2d? I like the support for VR etc, but sometimes it'd be nice to be able to have depth perception on a 2d screen. Image is of 1 approach

RN 8513-8002 (no mods)

Looking up in the earth's sky at Orion constelletion i decided to fly up and towards the centre of our galaxy. There a spotted an interesting nebula i called Poppy (reminded me of the flower) that holds an interesting neighborhood of planets along with some microbial life.

  1. Approaching Nebula

  2. Holds multiple star systems

  3. Closeup of an interesting one

  4. Krakatoa like volcano

  5. 13km volcanoes will be terraforming this planet in the future

  6. Sense of their scale.

  7. Soothing!

  8. Massive canyon that should hold a sea, there would be islands too, notice the stars in the backround morningtime. (Canyon is already thousands of km high)

  9. Nighttime is a spectacle.

  10. You get this view too.

Search it if you like, i've spent few hours here already !
