Is a fresh start enough of a motivation to get this team the needed confidence to dominate an inferior opponent like we should?

With the season starting up this week, I've been wondering how much everyone is actually planning to watch this year - both the Hogs and college football in general.

For me, how interested I am each Saturday tends to change with how I feel about the Hogs. When we're bad, I have a harder time caring about other games, College Gameday, etc. but when we're good (at least good enough to make a bowl), I find myself watching Gameday every week and putting on other games throughout the day.

I know there's a general negative feeling around college sports atm too in the portal/NIL era with LSU trying to sign pro players and rosters being turned over massively each season. I probably can't name more than 20 players on our roster right now.

So what are y'all planning to do - watch every Hogs game no matter how bad we are? If we're bad are you still gonna tune into Gameday and big games around the country each week? Has your interest in the sport the last 5 years declined?

Considering the dangers of playing midday games early season with heat exhaustion l, heat strokes, and death all very real possibilities, is ESPN or the SEC protected from class action lawsuits?

Season starts in 10 days. No more practices open to the media. No more scrimmages. Here's my final depth chart prediction for Arkansas. I think there are three starting spots still open for competition, but everything else is settled.

Did anyone think Silverfield’s boxcar story at the Little Rock Touchdown Club was strange and did not seem to make sense regarding Razorback football other than that is an example of what we shouldn’t be like? Do public speakers need to tell 5 minute stories just to give an example of something not to be?

Nothing but hype. The more outrageous the better. If you bring reality into this conversation you have failed the assignment.

For example

Prediction: Hogs travel to DKR to take on the horns with 9-1 record. Their only defeat was in double OT to Georgia. Blame it on the refs.

Has there been any announcement concerning the basketball team returning for a meet and greet/scrimmage in 2026?

Really appreciate Brent Dearmon taking some time during fall camp to chat with me about why his squad’s Week 1 trip to Arkansas is extra meaningful to him.

Really believe Silverfield is doing all the right things on and off the field. I don’t think we have a winning season this year or even .500 and anyone expecting that should look at our recent history with a new coach. It’s very difficult to put forth a recruiting class, staff; money and everything that goes into the win column while you’re dealing with a whole new roster. Silverfield has gone big into getting the money he needs for next year but that doesn’t help us at all with our current roster. Again something that yuracheck could’ve helped out but who knows what the hell this guy is actually doing. He’s had 10 months as a razorback coach and even less for coming in term with recruits and financials.

Give the benefit of the doubt 3 or 4 wins this year and let him gradually build this up. Year 3 get us a winning record. That’s when when we can finally judge and that kicks in.

"We saw what went down in the Bahamas. There's a lot of promise with Ourigou, but a long way to go. Cooper Bowser, uh, if he's going to struggle against that level of competition at the five spot, even if he makes strides and figures a few things out as a veteran guy, he's not going to be able to play with force, with power. Uh, and I thought he really struggled finishing and dealing with contact. you don't have to be a a physical naturatured player to handle some levels of physicality and play through that and I thought he really struggled with that and then I look around and everybody else is a baby just like is first year and it's not really a physical bunch maker maybe can help some Arkansas both at the four and the five but you know he's not a physical guy and there's nobody with college experience outside of Bowser and so there was because he disappointed let's be honest and that's your guy experience."
