A fire in northwest OKC has claimed an apartment complex that housed more than a dozen previously homeless residents, but City officials are stepping up to make sure they don’t have to go back to streets.

I don't know if I was doing something wrong, but to avoid going back to Edmond where I will get high anywhere I go, I decided to stay in downtown and try and get admitted into detox. All day. No luck. Used all my money ubering everywhere. Got just enough to get back Edmond OK t looks like. Yay! I'm so ready to just fall asleep and not wake up

WHO still buys puppies from here?!? I can’t believe this store is still open, the puppies are clawing at the window and eating the hay like material at the bottom of their cage. Do they go on walks or get out to play at all?

I have several prom dresses I would like to donate somewhere besides Goodwill. Is there a place that allows lower income high schoolers to browse for prom dresses that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford?

Did an almost 4 mile walk on mustang this morning. I walked from one fire station to the other picking up trash around the stations and otw to the other one! Love yall.

It’s been an abandoned eyesore for twenty years on a major street corner. It’s also been a hot potato for grifters. If it couldn’t have been saved over that time with a 2% interest rate, it’s definitely not going to be now.
Do I wish it could have been saved? Absolutely. But the cancer has metastasized. The corpse needs buried. Obviously the problems with the building itself are restrictively, astronomically expensive. The gold isn’t gold anymore. It’s the patina of a paint huffer’s face. Stage Center was an entirely more interesting building, but it’s gone and we’ve moved on. It’s time for the Gold Dome to go and something useful and desirable for the community to go up in its place. If George Harrison taught us anything, it’s that all things must pass. Time for this one to go, despite its unique existence. Tears in rain.

Historically, are there any decent restaurants open on Thanksgiving? My dad is coming into town and wants to go out to eat. Plus it’s cheaper than buying a new oven (which I need to do at some point).

Hey y’all. Here to update anyone who hasn’t gotten the letter yet or doesn’t keep up with this stuff, that we’re now pulling a SNAPs on Medicaid. Starting Jan 1st, 2027 you have to have one of the following work requirements:

* Have a monthly income of $580
* Be a seasonal worker and have an avg monthly income over the previous 6 months that is at least $580
* Work at least 80 hours
* Complete at least 80 hours of community service
* Participate in a work program for at least 80 hours
* Be actively enrolled in an educational program at least half-time
*Engage in any combination of the above for at least a total of 80 hours.

I’ll also share the pictures of the letter as well that has this information and a little more.

I’m extremely concerned and frustrated over this. I may only be 21, but I work with the homeless and it’s already tough to get them food. Now they’re losing the insurance that they literally need so badly.
