I watched for way longer than I thought I would.

I don't get the visualization

Appears to be that the desired location for a point is indicated by its color (in rainbow order). Points are shown closer to the center when they are farther from their appropriate location. A fully sorted list would be all on the outer edge.

There are two different type of people in the world.

Those who get it. And those who dont.

I've watched lots of these sorted visualized videos. I understand the math and the algorithm, but I've never quite figured out the sound portion.

The comb sort demonstrates it’s probably just pitch based on rotation, or degrees

Visually Radial and Gnome were the best, although Bucket may be most efficient

Video is not real time though. Estimated real time used differs exponentially sometimes.

I also watched the ms count. Bucket was at 16ms or something like that.

I’m gonna need shrooms to process this. What in the hell are they sorting? It’s definitely not my wife’s laundry!

u/mattogeewha 13h ago

I wonder which one I’m using to sort laundry

It’s sort of cool.

What are we looking at exactly?

Which one we should learn for real life ?

Selection sort for simplicity and early exit scenarios.

Quicksort for the divide-and-conquer concept

Heapsort for the concept of heaps.

Then probably never write your own.

Radix is my favorite. 3:22

Why no MSB radix sort?

Are these sorted by duration? They seemed random
