I think I actually somewhat agree with this. Gameplay in KCD2 was absolutely better. But as good as the story was in 2, i don’t think I can ever forget the drinking shenanigans with Godwin in 1

I agree. The first felt really grounded and homey while the second improved on pretty much all the technical systems. Love both though.

Yup, it's probably controversial, but came here to say this as well. The first one really felt like our story, even though you're just a nobody, a victim of the things happening around you. In KCD2 I lost that feeling, the story became too big if you will.
