I love going back to 2, it's so nice and it has been slept on by many

I play it every October from start to finish just to enjoy the world in that game. So many great options and unique mechanics. The drones are just awesome.

Is it similar gameplay. I skipped it because looking at the protag I couldn't see him being like Aiden in the sense of physically capable of handling people.

Markus is different from Aiden so yea of course they'll be different. And yes similar gameplay that's why it's in the same series lols

When I say similar gameplay I mean is there a reasonable way he can take people down

Guns, but also the game allows you to basically do the entire story without touching a single person with all the gadgets you can make.

It encourages stealth mechanics and a pacifist playstyle due to one of the central themes being garnering support for a collective take down of a surveillance state akin to what we're seeing with flock.

Yeah he can knock people out with a ball on a rope, the animations are pretty dope too

Yeah Markus can handle people too, he's got that ball at the end of a rope and he smashes people in the face with it lol

Playing the second game and then the first is similar to what people who watched the new Spider-Man then decided to watch the punisher show must feel like

I played the first after playing GTA 5 thinking it was shit. Then I played the second after playing Red Dead Redemption 2. The second was also shit.

Honestly wasn't a huge fan of WD2s gameplay from an options perspective, like it was fun for sure but it always felt like I couldn't use any of the weapons other than the tazer without doubling the number of enemies in the area via police every time I killed someone

Hacking usually was enough to not make that too big an issue but I still have a fair few memories of sitting in a corner waiting for the police to stop patrolling just cus I decided to use a weapon the game gave me in a situation where I didn't have any useful hacks

I disagree I think 1 was better for both

The stories of the two games differ drastically in tone, it feels like comparing apples and oranges.

Okay, but how about Legion. A direct downgrade in all respects. Forgettable characters, limited game play abilities (where are my world hacks?) And a story that barely qualifies.

WD 2's story is much better if you pretend Marcus is a genius but all the DedSec basement characters (and merch) are the result of Marcus having some sort of mental illness like DID/MPD, and that the only real hacker person he ever works with is Raymond Kenney/T-Bone.

Probably a hot take but I like watchdogs 1 in both aspect. The realistic, cold approach felt better than the "freestyle" of watchdogs 2. Its just my fantasy ofc tho

i slept of both of them. (even though i wanted to pre order it) for a first timer wd2 is recommended? and how wd1 hold up?

Nah I think watchdogs 2 is just a better game story and gameplay.
