Advice Request Replace the rear diff + transfer case fluid?

Post image

I bought my 2025 turbo hatch brand new a couple months ago and I’ve noticed a very specific and honestly loud whine from the rear of the car, which from what I read could mean a rear differential issue. I had it looked at by the Mazda dealership and they said it was consistent with how their other awd Mazda 3s sound, so I left it at that. It’s been hot recently, and the sound has only gotten louder, and now I’m hearing a completely different whine from the middle of the vehicle. I feel I’m going crazy but I’m considering just replacing the rear differential and transfer case fluid for peace of mind because it’s easy. But in the case that there is a rear differential issue, should I just wait for it to go out? Could replacing the fluid prolong the issue past my warranty? Would appreciate any advice on this if anyone’s experienced the same with their awd

Does it occur at all speeds or roughly 76 mph?

It’s the loudest at exactly 65mph, and goes away under 60 and above 70

yeah i think it’s just normal, my mechanic checked the diff oil from the fill and said all looked good, but he didn’t check the magnet drain plug for particulates, and i’m only 6k miles into this car and it just hit 80k so idk if the last owner kept up on it, or if it’s time or if i should wait

Mine starts at 66mph, is loudest at 75-77mph, and disappears at 79mph.

Very bassy
