This has been happening for a while now. Idk whats the reason for it.

After every game i manually analyze my game. But i have noticed this for the past few days that stockfish does not show me the best move or if it does it shows me the move only after I have done it.

It really seems like its struggling to find the move. Idk i think its because of its settings.

I am on the android app the website of lichess, on my laptop seems fine. but the android app the stockfish is not working as intended.

tried first on 1 cpu core and this problem happened. raised it up to all the way (7) and my phone freezes.

Even on 5 it lags and its using a lot of my phone's battery. Never thought out of all games on my phone chess would be so intensive on my hardware (Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 + 8gigs of ram).

Who are the gms who play it?

Is there really no way to play vs the computer anymore is the new app? I haven't used Lichess in awhile, but what I used to do is when I saw a random puzzle or position I thought was interesting I would recreate it with the board editor and then try to beat stockfish in that position.

Is there still a way to do this I'm not seeing? I haven't used the app in awhile and am really disappointed if this feature is gone, but I see no way to challenge the CPU from the board editor anymore.

This was always much more fun and engaging than using the analysis board for me - attempting to beat the highest level of stockfish in a position I know is winning was a fun challenge and encouraged me to open the app, punch in the position and play some chess. I really dislike the new app personally and have another reason to open it less.

You have no idea how much fun you can have playing chess like you did when you did not know how to play chess. I'm not recommending chaos because I respect this game. But I think you should have fun at the expense of some rating. Paint your face and make people resign in bullet no increment.

It feels like I've been going in circles for the past hour trying to figure this out. I can't clone anything and whenever I do it with the PGN it just shows me the moves even on interactive mode and also the orientation is always wrong. Please someone help.

Same position, different tools, lichess tools extension in the first, and vanilla lichess in the second, do you think this is over-analysing for a game not so serious like blitz? i would personally use LT for classical (only in middle game phase) and switch to the classic in endgames, so to the folks who use LT, what is your habit with it? just curious

It seems like a majority of new posts are from people who have developed an app and are looking for new users, or are trying to survey potential users about features they want.

A lot of these same posts have AI content and bullet points for everything. Is this just because there is a high percentage of lichess users who are also interested in computer science? Is it because content more directly related to lichess usually goes on the r/chess sub, or the lichess forums?

Here’s what I’m doing every week

Monday: Tactics
- 10 runs puzzle storm
- review all previous woodpecker method tactics
- add 25-50 more tactics to the set
- play 2-3 rapid games

Tuesday: Strategy
- Review 1-2 games from 1953 Zurich
- woodpecker method 2 review
- woodpecker method 2 - add 25-50 more puzzles
- play 5- 10 blitz games

Wednesday: Prep
- Review previous previous week’s trainables from opening book
- read through and create trainables from a new chapter
- play through new chapter trainables until two successful 100% completion runs.

Thursday: Games
- 10 Rapid games

Friday: Review
- Review previous games

Saturday/sunday: Endgames
- read through 1 new chapter from 100 endgames you must know
- play through previous week’s chapter

Play leisure games (bullet blitz rapid) no limit or minimum.

Ik this schedule is way too serious for my rating range, but I see myself leaning more and I’m having fun doing it. I just wish I had a training partner to keep me accountable.

I've finally played chess again after a long week of exams, then I got into a 10+ game losing streak and lost 100+ elo. I finally got into a winning position against someone higher rated, only to get disconnected from Lichess (I have 100 mbps internet). Sucks man.
