[Modpost] From now on posts that do not mention the level of each language you're learning will be deleted. (details on description)

So I am posting here after having seen many posts that do not follow all the rules we, the mods, have set. So please, consider reading them again and follow the proceedings accordingly, otherwise your post will be deleted. The rules are set in order for you to find an appropriate language partner.

Most of the posts don't contain the level of the languages you want to learn. Such as the example:

"English native looking for someone to teach me Icelandic"

The description doesn't mention the level that person has achieved in learning the language and it is more difficult to find a partner that suits your needs and the others. Levels are (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) or if we take the European Union certificate standards (A1-C2)

Thanks for understanding and happy language learning!

Practice

Hi everyone! 😊 My name is Kubilay, I’m 26 years old, I’m from Turkey, and I’m gay. I graduated from the Department of Turkology.

I’ve recently started learning English, so I’m looking for friends who would like to help me practice and improve. My English is still at a beginner level, but I’m trying to get better step by step.

We can talk about pretty much anything — daily life, cultures, books, movies, games, LGBTQ+ topics, or whatever you’re interested in. I’d also be happy to help anyone who is learning Turkish.

Improving my English is really important to me, so I hope I can meet some nice and open-minded people here to practice with. Feel free to message me! 😊

Sto cercando per qualcuno con cui parlare italiano.

After living in Sardinia for three years I have moved back to Australia and have no one to speak with so I’d love to find someone to talk to through WhatsApp vocal messages. Nothing too intense, probably a few messages a week.

I’m a 29 year old woman who is happy to talk about a huge range of subjects and always open to learning something new. Despite my years in Italy, I’m probably still at a mid to high beginner level.

Offering: Chinese | Seeking: English

Hi everyone!
I’m a native Chinese speaker from China, and I’m looking for a native English speaker to practice English with.
My English is around beginner/intermediate level. I especially want to improve my speaking and listening skills.
I’d like to have regular conversations, preferably by voice call. We can talk about everyday life, travel, food, movies, work, or anything interesting.
In return, I’d be happy to help you practice Chinese. I can help you with pronunciation, everyday Chinese, and Chinese culture.
I truly believe that if we practice together and help each other, we can both become much better at our target languages. I’m confident that we can help each other make real progress.
I’m looking for someone who is serious about practicing regularly. It doesn’t have to feel like a formal class — just two people helping each other, having conversations, and hopefully becoming friends.
If you’re interested, feel free to send me a DM!
Thanks!

Offering: Chinese/ Seeking: American spoken English ↔ 🇨🇳🇺🇸

I’m a native Chinese speaker living in Spain, and I’m looking for an **American English speaker** who would like to do a long-term language exchange.
I can help you with **Mandarin Chinese**, and I’d love to improve my **natural spoken English** in return.
I currently work in international trade/logistics, so I’d like to become more confident speaking English in both **everyday conversations and work situations**. I’m especially interested in learning the kind of English people actually use in real life — expressions, pronunciation, small talk, workplace conversations, etc.
I’d prefer **voice or video calls rather than texting**. Ideally, we could choose **3 fixed times each week**, around 30–60 minutes per session, and take turns speaking English and Chinese.
I’m looking for someone who is also serious about practicing consistently and hopefully building a long-term language exchange friendship.
If you’re interested, feel free to DM me and tell me your time zone, and what you’re hoping to improve. 😊

looking for a local friend in almaty 😭

hii! I’m a 2nd year MBBS student and I’ve been living in Almaty for a year now. I’m still struggling with Kazakh/Russian 😭 so I thought it would be nice to have a local friend who speaks English!

I’d love to get to know someone from here, learn more about Almaty and the culture, and have someone I can ask about the random things I don’t understand yet 😭

I’m pretty busy with med school so I can’t hang out all the time, but I’d definitely be down to meet whenever we’re both free and just become friends naturally 🫶🏻

I can also help you with English, so it can be a little language exchange situation hehe 😭

If you’re from Almaty and wouldn’t mind befriending a slightly confused med student, hmu 🥹💗
