Hey y'all,

I've been thinking about it for a while, and I finally wanna get myself the iPod I've been wanting for ages. Specifically I'm looking for an iPod Nano 4th Gen in blue.

But I have no clue where to start! I was planning on just buying one on eBay, but I have no idea if I'm buying a good one or not. If anyone has any tips, things to look out for, or even a link to a recommended purchase, you would be my hero lol.

Some important wants for me:

-Must be 4th gen, and blue with white click wheel

-Great condition/Like new, I'm looking for the closest experience to brand new

-Earbuds and Charger included

-Sealed/Original packaging would be nice, the experience of opening it new but this is really just a "would be nice"

Ipod mini 2nd gen clickwheel + ipod classic 6/7th gen middle button. It took me forever to get the middle button to fit inside the mini 2nd gen clickwheel! I love how the icons on the clickwheel match the middle button.

I would love to know/see if anyone else has done this too!

Frankly, I have no idea anymore; I feel like all the resolutions are too big 😭.

Btw here's my baby (I removed rockbox today because I didn't get used to using it👉👈).

Managed to score this complete in box iPod Hi-Fi for just 150€ shipped. Came with everything: original box with all the styrofoam inlays, the Apple Remote, original power cord, and the complete set of dock adapters. Asked the seller to double-box it, and it arrived without a scratch.

Paired it with my blue iPod mini 2nd Gen for maximum contrast and took off the front grille.

Sound-wise… let's say it’s definitely tuned for 2006. With heavy modern tracks it can get quite muddy, but acoustic stuff sounds surprisingly decent at lower volumes.

A couple of questions for fellow Hi-Fi owners:

1. Did I get a solid deal for 150€ CIB, or what did you pay for yours?

2. What genres or artists do you think sound best on this thing? Any specific albums that really shine on it?

Bought an clean iPod 7 and discovered it’s already got a real ugly version of rockbox on it.
Can I remove it or is it worth actually getting to grips with other themes as it’s already there.

It also seems not to connect to battery or time/date settings.

I can now control music playback from my office.

I've been working on a video converter for both windows and Android and I'm keen to hear what features people would be interested in seeing. I've built in every feature I could need for myself but I'm sure someone clever out there has something challenging for me to add. Conversion in the video was done on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite phone and took <5 minutes for a 40 minute video. Let me know!

The device accidentally got left the glove box in a hot car for a day and now this line showed up. It only appears when the backlight is on. Am I screwed? The battery has already been replaced.💀

As title says... Bought a FireWire wall charger with cable in January from eBay and it's now dead so need options before purchasing from a different seller since the one I used ( FullCirclePod in case anyones interested or if you're here ) doesnt respond to messages ( not that there's any warranty listed but still didn't hurt to try or to respond to a customer).

When plugged into iPod, the iPod lights up as it recognizes something but nothing happens on the battery display. Have tried different iPods and I know cable " might not " be the issue since it was plugged to a dock and it almost never moved. I only took out the insert and used it without if the device I wanted to charge didn't fit in the insert ( Lazy of me because I own almost all inserts.)

For those with experience with this cable ( picture)... I will be using it with 3rd Gen and up and mostly plugged to a dock ( Apple iPod Universal Dock )..

- Does this cable currently sold by EoE works?

- Build quality decent?

- No special wall blocks needed?

- Works with anything that has a USB A port?

And another question... Is there a way to determine if a FireWire wall charger is original or fake? Guessing I got a fake..

When i tested it it the Battery was nearly empty and the music was loaded on around 15min earlier.

So i got an ipod video 5.5 gen 30 gig with the stock hdd still working and the guy replaced the battery. after 2 days i noticed that there is a high pitch whine coming from the area where the battery connects to the motherboard. what could cause this? (dualbooted rockbox with regular ipod os)

Took a few months and a replacement motherboard due to an unseated DAC, but finally up and running.

One thing I’ve noticed is the battery capacity isn’t anything like what I was hoping for. Got a 2000mAh from EOE.

I have configured the battery capacity in the settings so Rockbox knows what is in there

But it’s running down fairly quickly. Even in the pic it’s at 64% without what I would call super heavy usage.

I’m aware the theme is a little more resource intensive that the usual ones in the available themes on Rockbox (requires its own separate download etc.)

Could this be it? Or do I have a crappy battery from EOE

I found this vintage LV phone case that fits my iPod Video Classic 5th generation perfectly. I love the versatility of this case; it's protective and can be worn/styled in many ways. For e.g can be worn with a crossbody strap or can be attached to the outside of my bag or my jeans, my belt etc. What do you guys think?

So the battery connector broke and I'm new to this so I don't really have any idea on what to do now it just came of with e ribbon cable I live in india any idea how can I get it fixed ?

Bought this off eBay yesterday nd I’m so excited for it to come 🥹🥹 been searching for an iPod for a couple months now. I paid about $120 for it after taxes and shipping. Did i get a good deal? My original goal was to score one for less than $100 but that’s nearly impossible with the iPods becoming more popular lately. I do want to do a couple mods on it but i have absolutely no tech experience so im a bit nervous for that. Any advice for modding as a beginner? I wanted to put a new battery, more storage, and a new front and back shell on it. Watched a couple YouTube videos but it looks a little complicated.

Hello! I picked up a 3rd gen classic the other day and am hoping to get it working properly with a flash mod and new batter. But it's currently displaying funny with a lot of ghosting. Any advice on how to fix this?

How can i connect a 6th gen nano (A1336) to my current Apple Music? The device does not show up on apple music, but it does show up on locations in finder.

I’m pretty sure my iPod is a 4th generation, and I haven’t used it in years. I found an old charger that works and went through my gallery and found some photos and videos that I want to save, I successfully saved the photos to my laptop but the videos won’t download. My laptop says that it can’t support them. I’ve tried to connect to my apple account to use iCloud on the device but that won’t work either. Is there any application I can use to download the videos?
