Honestly, bro probably has severe burns on most of his body. The clothes dont just evaporate like that without any skin damage. He's full of adrenaline though, the pain/shock will come shortly after.

Gas is made to smell in China with an odorant substance and gas installations are routinely checked (source: I live in China; my domestic gas installation is checked on a yearly basis).
I'm guessing the man didn't have time to react.

They’re filming a screen so it was probably a security camera that originally caught it, and then the owner heard about/saw the incident, checked the camera and filmed the video.
