Germany has more castles than the United States has McDonald’s. This is the Eltz castle, located in Wiershem. It has been owned and occupied by the same family for 33 generations over 800 years

Pretty impressive not a single generation screwed things up and had to sell. Imagine the amount of money spent over that time upgrading and upkeeping that property.

Yep, and the property is not and will likely never be for sale, something Americans might not understand. You can offer that family a billion dollars and they probably wouldn't sell.

If you had a place like this in America, in just a decade it probably would've went through a bunch of rentals and changes in ownership from random athletes and Kick gambling streamers or some shit
