Germany has more castles than the United States has McDonald’s. This is the Eltz castle, located in Wiershem. It has been owned and occupied by the same family for 33 generations over 800 years

Only if you count every palace and ruin, sure. There’s only about 8500 legit castles that anyone would recognize as a castle

Considering the US spans a continent and has 13,000 McDonald's that's still pretty impressive. Pretty easily more castle per square mile than the US has McDonald's
