I switched to Firefox about 6 months ago and use uBlock Origin and SponsorBlock. Are there any other must-have extensions you’d recommend? Looking for anything useful for privacy, productivity, tabs, or just making browsing better.

Looks like brave 1.93 is adding this where it shows sites fake info for the GPU you're running, which makes tracking you across sites harder. Is there any talk in the firefox circles about doing this?

Just got updated to Firefox 155 on android and saw that there is a Website Isolation on Firefox labs

Nothing important. Just made Firefox my default browser again after a year long courtship with DuckDuckGo.

I’ve been an ardent Firefox user since 2004 or so, weathering many a boomer and old man comment from friends who are too cool for the ‘fox, AKA Chrome users. Many who believe the internet was born, raised, and will be die there in that cloud town.

I realized I missed all the add-ons and community vibe of it.

Excited to poke around the latest release and catch up on what I’ve been missing. Firefox on!

It opens the image in a new tab but I want to download it without opening it in new tab.

In setting I have webp images set as "save file"

I can do right click and save but it would be a hassle to do it a thousand times.

i can bypass this using a vpn though but my vpn disconnects from time to time

I've been using the builtin VPN for a while not, but recently it just stopped working. I turn it on and set a location and nothing changes, as if my VPN isn't even turned on. Anyone else getting this problem?

Hey how do I get rid of this? Yeah I could sign in to probably get rid of it, but I'd rather not make yet ANOTHER account, and for a browser of all things.

The only thing I found was going into the sync settings but that seems to require an account to even get that option anyway so what's up? I'd like it if there was just a switch of "No" but that doesn't seem to be a thing.

Hi, how can I delete a bookmark on iOS? The help section says:

Open the bookmarked page.
Tap ‘Remove’ next to ‘Bookmarks’.

Where can I find this ‘Remove’ button? I can’t see it on my device. On the desktop, I’m used to being able to delete a bookmark by going to ‘Edit Bookmarks’. On iOS, it seems you can only rename the bookmark or move it to a different folder there.

Maybe some videos don't have the delay, but most have. It's a "fake buffering".

Followed all the procedures on r/ublockorigin, still impossible to get uBlock Origin to work properly with YouTube on Firefox - Windows 11.

Asking here because all issues concerning YouTube are forbidden on r/ublockorigin.

Tried disabling all my extensions one by one to no effect. The only thing that seems to usually fix it is create a new blank Firefox profile, then reinstall my extensions one by one. It will usually work for a few days before the issue happens again.

In the present situation, disabling uBlockOrigin makes the video (or rather the ads) starts instantly.

Many thanks for any help you could provide on this 10+ years issue which makes me waste so much time.

I remember I was able to swipe to and enter the tabs multi view but now it's not working. Did they remove this? Also is there an option to auto switch to the Open in a new tab instead of having to press Go to new tab?

Can't select any space around the tabs, so you just end up moving one of the tabs, or hitting the + button, or Minimize. Needs a fix. I'm not the type of power user to use 2 hands on the keyboard to move things.

I don't want to move the tab group to a new window all by itself, but remove it from window 1, and add it to the existing window 2.

Standard dynamic range (SDR) video in some formats can appear washed out on macOS. The issue is under investigation and a fix will ship in a future release. (Bug 2068961)

Yesterday it froze and had to force close it with task manager and after that i lost ALL my bookmarks and got logged out of everything, and in search history links wouldn't show up at all. now when i opened the browser again it logged me out of everything AGAIN but all my bookmarks are back?? did anyone have this happen to them before?

Is anyone else experiencing this ?

firefox version : 155 but this been going on for a long time.

i use linux, avc1 is hardware decoded on my machine using VAAPI version 1.23.0, skipping a video leads to video freeze, at a frame while the audio keeps playing, until the frame syncs with the audio playback. audio always works just fine, just the video, and only avc1; vp9, av1, vp8 and hevc don't have that problem, despite av1 being software decoded. it also seems to be firefox dependent, testing it on chromium browsers media playback works just fine.

no configs cause this nor extensions. it doesn't seem to be the driver nor my machine's fault. i just want to know if somebody shares the problem so this can be reported.

I'm a long time user of Firefox but since some time now I cannot use it anymore on my company computer. I really want to go back to my old friend.

Anytime I open a website (outside of the intranet) I get the following error:

Error Code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_MITM_DETECTED

For some website I can just proceed, but for example I cannot even connect to google...

I have tried to modify the key in the config as mentioned in lots of discussions that I have found but with no luck.

I hope someone here can hold my hand and support me in finding a solution.

EDIT: I have no idea what happened, after weeks of trying, this morning, I just came in and it worked.... I'm writing this from a FIREFOX browser !! :)

However, it only work if wired on the company network it works, but Wifi with VPN does not work ... Could the VPN be responsible?

I've been trying to figure this out the past couple days, Twitter won't work anymore on desktop Firefox. It just says "Firefox cannot connect to server at x.com". I tried disabling enhanced tracking protection to stop it from doing this, but it's literally impossible (see image). It's greyed out and I can't click anything. I tried disabling enhanced tracking protection entirely, making "x.com" and its https form exceptions for enhanced tracking, none of it disables it. I also tried using troubleshoot mode to see if it was something with one of my extensions, but the issue happened there too.

I tried clearing cookies and site data, which worked for a second but as soon as I tried switching accounts it broke again and put me right back here. It seems to be whenever I switch accounts.
