Do you guys think dragon ball z served as a blueprint or as the “role model” for other anime’s? Like how much impact, if any, do you guys think dragon ball z had on the anime world?

My take on if Super Saiyan had an “Invincible” form, like Super Saiyan God or Blue, from the TV show and comic series “Invincible”.

I'm talking about once Cell comes back, (after Goku teleports him away). Once Gohan injures his arm saving Vegeta, Cell is convinced he can win, (we know this wasn't the case). If a one-armed SSJ2 Gohan can still beat Cell, it's obvious that an undamaged Gohan can too.

So if Cell were to hypothetically face an undamaged SSJ2 Gohan, what does Cell do once he realises he STILL can't win against Gohan?

Or does Gohan learn his lesson and end it quickly this time? (And not even give Cell time to process he can't win)

Mine is not even about Dragon Ball itself but its fans specifically Americans (maybe canadians too) who watched toonami and its that those who say they can ONLY watch DBZ with the falconer soundtrack are not real DB fans. Literally seen this so much on tiktok and twitter and they also refuse to use any clip that doesn’t have the crusty old dub that sounds terrible acting and quality wise.

Its so insane to me, i think these are the worst kind of “fans” who only care about the hype and transformations

devilman was supposed to be the fifth fighter, but grandpa gohan replaced him, and devilman was lowered to the fourth position.. but who was the original fourth fighter then?

probably a zombie, or a skeleton or maybe a frankenstein monster

He's a freeze race that's powerless but super smart and uses guns and technology to fight.

Even some fan arts are much better than this its just little tweaks here and there you can't call ts a remake! The fights just feel still and emotionless at this point i havent seen a single comment saying it looks amazing or its peak animation everyone is like yeah its good or its better nothing amazing!

dont get me wrong im just a big dbz fan and i love having goosebumps watching dbz fights but its freaking 2026 we cant just look at one of the best anime ever getting this treatment by toei!!

There's been quite a bit happening with Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butouden's English fan translation. Xenishan94's version is looking much more complete than the earlier patch, with a lot of the game's content now available in English.

There are still a few Japanese lines and some text-overlap issues that could use more polishing, but the overall progress is pretty impressive. The translated What-If episodes in particular make this version worth checking out.

A few weeks ago I made a post saying that one of the biggest problems with Dragon Ball Super was the lack of contrast in the lighting.

Many people said that the images with higher contrast looked worse, and that I only removed their melanin, and I received many downvotes.

So here's a sequence of images from the remake that did exactly what I said in that post.

I think a purple brick dvd set for Super would’ve been really cool.

I see a lot of people upset about DBS Beerus, wishing it was the continuation of the anime and worrying that we're going to have to wait years to see Moro and Granolah. But it's literally in production right now and targeting a late 2027 release. This is just the appetizer before the main course.

And no, if DBS Beerus didn't exist, you wouldn't be getting Moro now instead. They're being handled by separate animation teams, with one helmed by Yamamuro and the other by Shintani. So you wouldn't of seen Moro this year regardless, literally getting mad over nothing. And yes I understand we've already seen some of these arcs a couple of times already, but please go take a look back at the original DBS animation, this was a much needed improvement.

Can't wait for this, the faster we get this. The faster we get the Moro Arc!!! 💯💯💯💯
