I watched a guy try to stop a forklift from hitting an aircraft.

His arm popped open. The woman I was talking to yanked her belt off, made him a tourniquet with it, and saved the dudes arm. She was a real life hero, and her immediate action (quit talking to me mid-sentence to save this guy) was inspirational.

So, lucky she was there, but yeah. People do dumb things like try to use flesh to stop metal pretty often, if there isnt time to think.

She was my boss at the time, and I respected the heck outta her! You might be able to guess from my story about her, but she was such a genuinely good person. Shout-out to LS1 Lee, im positive you're doing well, wherever you are!

I did something similar. A girl accidentally cut her wrist lengthwise on some glass and she starts running with blood going everywhere. I chased her down, pulled off my shirt and wrapped it tightly around the cut. Yelled for my friend to get his car and we took her to the hospital as fast as we could. ER dr said if I didn't do that she easily would have bled out. She had surgery to repair the vein and remove glass. I just reacted instead of staring like others were doing. Glad I was in the right place at the right time! Even saved someone drowning years before that. Adults sat there doing nothing and I dove in and pulled the young girl out. None of it really sunk in until later. Its a strange feeling! I never panic, just react and no idea where it comes from. Just thankful I can do that!
