this guy is still incredibly handy even missing so many fingers still works with his hands with no help. he does still kind of have nubs.

Assuming uniform probability for each finger (unlikely, you're not likely to lose finger A and finger C but keep finger B between them, but we'll assume it for ease of calculation):

That's the probability he can't flip you off with his right hand only. (Basically for any finger you choose, it has a 70% chance to be lost, and a 30% chance to be kept.)

There's a 6.6_% chance he keeps both middle fingers.

A 23.3_% chance he keeps left but not right.

A 23.3_% chance he keeps right but not left.

For a total of 53.3_% chance he keeps at least one (but possibly both) middle fingers.

So a little worse than 50/50 he can't flip you off anymore.
