COMP1000 UNIX and C PROGRAMMING Mid-semester exam

Heyy, does anyone happen to have any past midterm exam papers for C Programming besides the midtests uploaded on BlackBoard?

If you have any that you’d be willing to share, I’d really appreciate it if you could send them my way.

Thanks in advance! :)

a bit of a different post from the rest

Kinda curious but is it normal to not be as close/interact w your highschool peers compared to your uni ones? I feel kinda awkward making such a post in this sub because I feel its out of place but I do apologise!! I was just thinking one day, I was pretty much a chud back in highschool I was a floater friend who basically had no "stuck" group which I belonged in but meh I had a good bsf and we would always hang around one another. But once highschool ended I wanted to change this and started talking more with uni classmates and I ended up clicking them more then I did back in highschool. Obviously I have had some intial troubles in making friends and stuff but even if they are class friends we seem to hit it off and stuff.

I think in a way I sort of do feel insecure about this though because when I see my highschool classmates posting themselves w their fg from highschool I do feel a bit bad because I essentially only keep in contact w 1-2 people from back then. Anyways does anyone relate/is it normal?

Curtin 2027 Graduation Dates Clarification

hi, i have a question regarding how the bunuru (february) graduations work and whether it’s consistent across these few years.

me and my friend have a concert abroad that falls closer to mid february, and we were trying to book flights and plan around the curtin graduation schedule.

i’ve heard from friends that the graduation schedule during bunuru season in february, gets released during late november or early december. it feels too close to call, and i was wondering if you guys have some information or an idea on how the graduation schedule works?

i’ve researched online and found the official dates and timelines page for graduation. i am unsure whether the way curtin operates their schedules may change and i’m concerned.

from what i know of through asking my friends, the marketing graduation fell on the same date during 2026 and 2025 graduation, and i was wondering whether that was consistent across all course branches, and if there may be in changes.

any information regarding the graduation timeline and what it was like years ago will be appreciated :)

For those who have done ISAP before, is it likely that they will expect u to know every bone of the ankle (tarsals) etc and test u on concepts that haven’t been mentioned or taught in any of the lectures or lab notes but have been mentioned in the book (seeleys)? Such as diathroses joints?
Just wondering if need to memorise the entire Seeleys book on top of covering the lectures etc.
Thanks!

I also have a test on this next week so any tips/tricks/ study hints would be much appreciated!

I thought the speed limit on Curtin roads was 30 km/h?

I don’t know what you were in such a hurry for that you had to speed through campus, but why even bother slowing down for the speed bump and roundabouts?

I haven't kept up with this unit and now it's stressing me out. There's so much I don't understand at all and I have an assignment due in less than a week. We aren't allowed to use AI at all.

Has anyone here done that unit previously? Advice on how to understand the content would be appreciated

Graduation ceremony

Hey

My ceremony starts at 10am, I’m wondering how long does it usually last 2-3 hours?

Also they ask the graduates to arrive at 7am, why so early? If I come at 8 will it matter?

Thanks

MacBook neo

Is this laptop ok for health sciences?
I’m an iPhone user also, so I like the idea of being on the same ecosystem. I know it’s only 8g of ram, I would get the 512g.

The price point with the Apple education price seems pretty good, can’t really justify the MacBook Air

Any other recommendations welcome

Are there exams in honours Bachelor of Psych??

I heard that there are 2 units per semester instead of 4, due to the research project. For these two units are there exams? If so, do they run during the normal centrally scheduled exam time when other students do it?

Might be a dumb question but does applying now mean your marks will be automatically updated later after final marks are released or would you have to reapply when final marks are out so you have your new cwa?

How do allied health students get first class honours?

I’ve noticed “with first class honours” on a bunch of allied health students degrees. Does that mean their course weighted average was high or is it to do with their Honours project being good?

OUA in summer period

Hi, I'm thinking of taking an elective during the summer period to ease my study during the following semester. Assuming the usual unit coordinators are on break, how do you get help with assignments and feedback during the 13 weeks? And is it marked during the summer period or once unit coordinators get back?
