2026 Corolla LE in Windchill Pearl.

A marten got under the bonnet of my 2025 Corolla, and chewed the fuel injection cables. I hope you can help me with the two following questions.

1. How severe is this type of issue? After it is resolved, will the engine suffer for future maintenance problems (more sensitive to particular issues)?

2. How can I prevent wild animals from getting into the engine area (preferably non-harmful solutions)?

I put a refundable deposit down on a 2027 corolla hatchback, it'll be arriving at the dealership in the next week or two, so it is time to really make a decision. I have been split between the HB, the Cross, or just keeping my 17 year old honda fit until it dies. Would love any feedback yall have, feel free to persuade or dissuade me in any direction.

I love the look of the hatchback, im used to hatchbacks with the fit, the hb is so affordable. However, I worry it might be too low to the ground. We have some steep driveways and parking lot entrances here which are designed with flash floods in mind I think. I know some scratches are inevitable but I worry itll be excessive and 5.1 inches feels so low to me.

The corolla cross feels like the smarter choice, but I feel less excited about it if that makes sense. Higher road clearance, available awd, better storage and comfort, while still very affordable.

While I am mostly just a commuter who drives around a mid-sized city, occasionally there are times when road conditions might make the Cross preferable (like the coming El Nino), though id have to get used to driving higher up and the hatchback feels like more of my current style.

Alternatively, I could just keep driving my old reliable Honda fit until it dies, if I cant get a good trade in value for it, I might just default to this option anyway.

Ive probably read every reddit post in existence comparing the hb to the Cross, and hopefully being able to test drive the hb will answer many of these questions for me, but would love to hear from yall in the meantime. Im definitely very sold on toyota reliability in general currently, and its just a matter of choosing between these 3 options now.

Looking at buying this 2011 toyota corolla for a first car. Heard they are/were really reliable, and this one has about 114k miles and was a repo at an auction.

Hey all, I've been hunting for a specific trim piece for my 2002 Corolla 1.8 M/T and it's turning out to be way harder to find than I expected.

It's the moulding that runs along the rear quarter window / roof drip side, right where the C-pillar meets the rear door glass (kind of a boomerang shape, black with a chrome/silver strip down it). Toyota OEM part numbers are 75055-12210 (right side) and 75056-12210 (left side).

I've checked the usual genuine-parts exporters (PartSouq, Megazip, etc.) and it's either out of stock or one side shows no price at all, so it looks like Toyota basically doesn't have stock of these anymore.

If anyone has a pair of these lying around, knows a yard or supplier that actually has them in stock, or would be willing to list one on eBay so I can just buy it there, I'd really appreciate it. Also open to reproduction/aftermarket versions if the fit and finish are decent, as long as it's not some sketchy deal.

I have a 2020 Corolla with about 128,000 miles on it. It’s been an awesome car and I’d love to keep it as long as possible.

I’ve been pretty meticulous with maintenance. Oil changes every 5k miles, spark plugs and coolant at 100k, and I’ve stayed on top of brakes, tires, filters, etc. The CVT fluid is literally the only maintenance item I haven’t touched.

It’s my daily driver for work and a lot of the mileage is highway. The car still runs and drives perfectly with no transmission issues.

How long have you guys gotten out of these Corollas/CVTs? I’d love to get 200–250k+ out of it.

Also wondering if I should finally do a CVT drain and fill at 128k. Dealership wants about $400, which seems pretty steep. I’ve considered doing it myself, but I don’t currently have the jack stands/lift equipment I’d need to get the car safely level.

Would you pay the $400, DIY it, find an independent shop, or just leave the CVT fluid alone at this point?

In the market for a used corolla that's younger than my current one (2009, and with too much to repair to be worth it) and I found a 2015 at 67k miles for $14.5k sticker price (so I know that taxes, fees, etc still need to be added on). I live in a major city and used car prices are so insane currently that I've lost all perspective on what is worthwhile. I only have about $13k max that I can spend in total OTD and not much leftover for fixing up anything I buy. Financing isn't an option for me. Desperate for a reliable car that will last me more than 5 years without being a money-sink.

Does that seem like a good price for the year and mileage? How much can I negotiate it down, realistically? Anything I need to worry about for a 2015 in particular? Service records are minimal but show oil changes about every 5k. I'd take it for a PPI of course, I just don't want to unless it feels worth it because it's a big haul to get out to the car.

I know this sounds crazy since this is the perfect car for some but not for me. As a 19 year old with two kids and is 6’3 this car is too tiny but I didn’t have the credit and still had my 30k totaled sonata on there which was my dream car. I had 6k saved up for another car and ofc instead of getting something cash I walked out with 3k less than i had before (so I put 3k down) and a 38k BASE model Corolla out the door. Oh and did I mention I am stuck with this car for 77 months, what do i do? please help.(also for those saying why didn’t I buy cash I’ve been scammed enough for cash cars I can’t buy another money pit and for those saying I have money problems I make 85k a year money flow isn’t an issue I just don’t wanna pay so much for a tiny car)

First vacation in West Virginia with my new car after my 2016 Corolla (My first car) was totaled back in June

As I started my Corolla (2025, 1.8 hybrid) to drive to the 15.000km service appointment, the motor started to vibrate and the radiator fan began making a rattling sound. At first, I thought the sound was coming from a construction site nearby, but as I accelerated, the rattling became much louder and the vibrations much stronger.

I drove for 1 minute and parked the car as soon as I found a safe parking space. I already spoke with the dealer and they will be sending a platform to pick up the car. The car was bought new, and is still under warranty, so I am not worrying about it. Nevertheless, I wanted to ask you guys what could be the issue.

Background - I just came back from a 1.200km trip to Eastern Europe, from Vienna, Austria. The car drove perfectly during the trip and on the way back. During the trip I never drove above 140km/h. Before returning to Austria I filled up the tank in Romania with 95 gasoline (the tank was almost empty when I filled it up). The car has 14.200km and I have never had any issues of this kind.

My Questions for the Community:

1. Since this is my first car, what specific questions should I ask the seller about the engine replacement?
2. What red flags or installation issues should a mechanic look for during a pre-purchase inspection on an engine-swapped Corolla?

Last Friday, I picked up a "new" Toyota Corolla TS (with just 10 km on the clock) from the dealership. During the final handover check, I missed a couple of things that I probably should have caught:

1. Panel gaps: The panel gaps are somewhat uneven around both the doors and the hood.

2. Hood underside: On the inside of the hood, there are two weird, speckled spots (looks like bad painting or overspray) in the exact same position on both sides.

Since I just took delivery of the car, I wanted to ask: Are these kinds of minor cosmetic imperfections and alignment tolerances normal for a new Corolla, or should I reach out to the dealership to have them checked/corrected?

After my second car broke down, I figured it was finally time to buy a new car. Since I already had a 2007 Toyota Corolla LE, it was kind of a nobrainer to get another Corolla.
I recently bought a new Toyota Corolla Hybrid SE this year. After driving it for about a month, though, I’ve noticed something funny, I actually really like how my old Corolla drives. 😂
My 2007 Corolla seems to feel faster than the new hybrid. Is that normal? I’ve never owned a hybrid before, so I’m not sure if this is just how hybrids feel.
It’s actually made me appreciate my old Corolla even more. It has 150,000 miles and still runs great. That little car is still cruising in the fast lane and all over the carpool lanes like it has something to prove.

Our 07 Corolla Finally crossed 20 years. Decided to give it a nice wash, and washed the engine bay. And it’s about to cross the 200k mile club. I remember my mom bought it when I started Junior High in 2006. Went cross country and back, been through a lot, and still kicking. Calling it a reliable car is an understatement.

Hi everyone. I’m a teenager working on a 1996 Toyota Corolla (E100/Indus Corolla) and I’m interested in modernizing the interior as a DIY project. I’m thinking about installing a reasonably cheap Android head unit, a 4-camera 360°/bird’s-eye-view camera system, and possibly 6 ultrasonic parking sensors, with the cameras/sensors displayed through the Android screen if possible. I’m also considering a small HUD for things like GPS speed, and possibly an OBD2 HUD if the car actually supports OBD2. I’m trying to keep everything inexpensive by using generic aftermarket parts rather than expensive branded equipment.

My main questions are: Is this realistically possible on a 1996 Corolla? Can a universal Android head unit work with a 4-camera 360° controller, and can the ultrasonic parking sensors be integrated into the same display, or would they normally need their own display/controller? Would the 360° cameras require major modification to the car, or can they be installed relatively cleanly under the mirrors/front/rear with concealed wiring? Also, would a teenager with basic DIY skills realistically be able to install and calibrate this with some patience, or is professional installation/calibration basically necessary?

Finally, what would you consider a reasonable total budget for the head unit + 4 cameras + 360° controller + parking sensors + wiring/mounting hardware, excluding or including installation? I’m aiming for a low-budget setup rather than premium equipment. If anyone has done something similar on an older Corolla/Toyota, I’d really appreciate advice on what parts to look for, what specifications matter, and what I should avoid buying.

I can provide photos of the dashboard/center console and the car if that would help with determining what type/size of head unit would fit.

I have a ‘98 CE without ABS, and the damn thing just skids so easily under hard braking. It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes you need to slam on your brakes and I’ll skid like 10-15 feet it’s fucking awful.

Also, sometimes when it’s wet and I take off from a stop a bit suddenly the front tires will just completely lose traction and spin for like 3-5 seconds, it’s crazy.

I’ve owned cars without ABS before and never had these issues.

Tires are brand new Hankook Kinergy’s. Same behavior on the old tires too.

Title explains my main question, im highly conflicted if it's worth purchasing the newer corolla for a slightly higher price because of a higher resale value and possibly cheaper repairs (if needed) in the future, but i know that newer generations tend to have some electrical issues. I recently lost my '06 Ford suddenly so I am pretty overwhelmed, but hearing from the general consensus might help. Thank you in advance.

I just got my second Toyota Corolla (I had one when I lived in Australia, it was a Toyota Corolla wagon and when it got smashed I was so sad!)

Just got myself a used hybrid and I love it… But it’s white and I want a pretty it up with some flower stickers. Anyone have any experience with this? I live in Ontario so we get some pretty harsh winters. I don’t want to wreck my paint, just want to girly-fy my car!
