Mining News Just for the record.

No i will not be releasing my article about go mining.

I have been getting mass botted. Literal death threats. People in my dms calling me awful things.

My key points are as follows.

I was only able to verify 60% of their fleet.

The ceo stopped communicating with me when i said i was not interested in monetizing the subreddit.

The user base is being told they are mining btc. You cant mine btc on NFTs.

So. Im over it. Yall can quit with the death threats and direct messaging me. I dont care about it anymore. Even if i released my article. Yall wouldnt listen anyways. The people who know about it already know its a scam. My hands are washed. To Go Mining’s awful user base. You win. 🏆 heres your “i made death threats and won award” i have already reported the ones that needed to be reported.

To the people who wanted me to drop it. Sorry. I failed yall. Id rather not have to slime someone to protect myself.

Have a good night everyone.

Has anyone who's purchased a Hammer BC08 been able to connect to a PPS or FPPS pool? All my shares are rejected from those pools. Solo pools work fine.

General Discussion How much does climate actually matter for mining?

People compare $/kWh all day, but climate matters too IMO.

Same ASIC, same power rate:

Cooler site: less heat, fans don’t have to work as hard, lower chance of throttling.

Hot/humid site: more cooling needed, fans run harder, heat can become a bigger problem

That said, a well-built hot site can still beat a badly managed cold one. Airflow, dust, cooling and maintenance matter a lot.

Is this a big difference for you? or naaah?

General Question Old antminer s19s basically worthless now?

Bought 4 of them years ago, they were obviously expensive / semi expensive at the time, been thinking about taking them all offline now they cost more to run than what they bring in, so I decided to just Google them and see what they were selling for..... I found $150 on ebay and Facebook market place and it just blew my mind. Obviously they aren't worth what they were when they were new, but $100? $200? That seems crazy. The cost on shipping them back is roughly $98 per miner

I feel like I'm going crazy and need validation lol

Hi. I have a miner hosted with CryptoCaddy but it has been offline for over a week. I had one general email communication with them but no followup as to what the issue is despite multiple emails. Is anyone else having trouble?

General Question BSB NerdOctaxe

Hey guys, I have a BSB NerdOctaxe running at around 12 TH/s. It does reach 12 TH/s, but I'm pulling about 262 watts at the wall, which seems a little high to me.

I checked the miner settings and found:

  • Core voltage: 1210 (default)
  • Frequency: 740 (custom)

I'm trying to lower the power consumption while keeping as much hashrate as possible. Any advice on what settings I should try to reduce the watts at the wall? Maybe lowering the frequency or voltage? I'd appreciate any suggestions from anyone running a similar setup.

Mining News Don’t mine bitcoin with this mining app. Last year my bitcoin was at .000445 I spent over $700 for the faster mining options. Last 10 months I’ve been mining everyday all day using the free options and have been waiting for that 44 to turn 45 but now look.

General Question is it worth upgrading to a sub-10 J/TH miner or keep running my old one

I'm starting to see machines like the S23 Hydro 3U at ~9.5 J/TH and the A4 Ultra Hydro at ~9.45 J/TH.

On paper, that’s a big efficiency jump compared with a lot of older ASICs. But replacing working hardware also means paying for the new machine, dealing with hydro infrastructure, and calculating how long the efficiency savings take to cover the upgrade.

For anyone who has actually upgraded recently: what did you replace, what are you running now, and did the power savings make it worthwhile?

Would be useful to compare some real-world numbers.

Still salty i had to send the first defective miner back to Hong Kong at my own expense. But the replacement is finally here and after seeing what the 1373 can do I’m done buying 1370 based miners.

This is a dual BM1373 home Bitcoin miner that can push up to 10 TH/s in one compact unit.

It uses a large 120mm cooler, oversized heatsink, and 8 copper heat pipes to keep both BM1373 chips cool at full 10T. No rear fan needed, and no extra upgrades required.

It comes with the 12v 240W PSU to give it enough headroom to hit 10 TH/s right out of the box, so there are no extra parts to source or modifications to make.

Lastly, It comes in a nice retail box ensuring the device arrives unharmed. Hammer miner has FCC and CE cert on all their devices as well which is important for a home device.

We tested the Thor P2 at the wall, not just from UI readings or manufacturer specs.

Low Power Mode
4.8 TH/s
50W at the wall
10.4 J/TH
35 dB

Normal Mode
6.8 TH/s
88W at the wall

Overclock Mode
10 TH/s
157W at the wall
15.7 J/TH

For a home miner like this, would you run it in low power for efficiency or overclock mode for the full 10 TH/s?

Hi, I was doing maintenance on an S10J Pro+ and accidentally detached a heatsink from a chip.

Does anyone have any idea how to glue it back on? The AI told me to use thermal glue. Can anyone help me?

General Discussion Follow-up: BM1373 ASIC Voltage Reading — 1.00V Set vs. 2.34V Reported

Post image
3 Upvotes

I tested the voltage range from 1100 mV to 1800 mV. Below 1800 mV, the actual ASIC voltage does not match the set voltage. It only starts to match the configured voltage when the setting exceeds 1800 mV.

I was completely puzzled by this for a long time. Then, at one point, I suddenly realized that the default voltage setting range is 1800–2600 mV. This could be the reason.

Troubleshooting & Repair 🙏 Try ASIC Intelligence, Free to use.

I just publicly released ASIC Intelligence Plugin/Skill Package v1.1.0 — Bitcoin Mining Troubleshooter, and it’s free to use.

It lets you give AI real mining evidence — logs, fleet exports, telemetry, repair history, power, network, and thermal data — and ask:

What’s actually going on?

It is deliberately read-only:

  • No miner reboots
  • No firmware changes
  • No pool/wallet changes
  • No equipment control

It focuses on evidence, likely causes, confidence, and the next safe diagnostic check.

Available for Codex, Claude Code, and portable Agent Skill systems.

GitHub:

If you work in Bitcoin mining, try it and tell me where it breaks.

General Question Sealminer

Post image

I'm currently at the Bitcoin Asia event and just saw a SEALMINER machine a relatively new company. One thing that caught my eye is the A4 Pro Air: 360 TH/s at 10.9 J/TH. That's crazy for an air-cooled miner! Has anyone tried their machines before? How was your experience?

General Question If you had a free $200 what's would be the best miner you could get from eBay?

I came across a rewards coupon for $200 cash back for a $200 purchase on eBay and was wondering if there was anything worth buying for that price? I pay 13.5 cents per kWh, so as long as I am making more than that, I would be making some money. Plus, the hobby seems cool, so why not?

General Discussion BM1373: Why Does ASIC Voltage Show 2.34V at 1.00V Core Voltage?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I'm testing a home solo miner with 2× BM1373 ASICs, and I noticed something strange with the voltage readings in the dashboard.

I set the Core Voltage to 1.00V at 400 MHz, but the dashboard shows a Current ASIC Voltage of 2.34V.

Normally, I would expect the actual ASIC core voltage to be reasonably close to the configured Core Voltage. It definitely shouldn’t be more than twice the configured voltage, which seems unusually high.

Has anyone encountered the same issue before, or have any idea what might be causing this?

Could this be related to the voltage measurement circuit, ADC scaling, or firmware configuration?

Any suggestions or experience with BM1373 voltage measurement would be greatly appreciated.

Choosing the right PDU really depends on what your mining setup needs most: lower cost, remote management, or higher output.

Here are three options we carry here at Altair Technology:

Argo Metered PDU - $129
Good budget option for a simple 30A setup. It gives you essential power delivery with LCD metering.

Virgo Smart PDU - $299
Better fit if you want remote network monitoring and control.

Leo Metered PDU - $249
Designed for higher-output home or garage setups. Our new LEO PDU supports up to 12,000W on a 50A NEMA 14-50 EV/Tesla-style outlet, which can be useful if you already have that power or outlet available.

General Discussion Converted 12 S21 XPs for Home Immersion Mining

Post image
15 Upvotes

One of our clients reached out about upgrading his fleet of S19s to S21 XPs with one cavait:

AIRCOOLED MINERS ARE WAY TOO LOUD.

So our clients ended up buying some foghashing C6 tanks and will be installing these stripped down S21 XPs into them. No need for a spoofer, they have our vnish installed so we can disable the fans, and now can be under and overclocked based off of the heat they need or are outputting.

Just thought the project was cool, and I’ll have them take pictures when they are installed.
