Bald Picture Two Questions

Thumbnail

Ok everyone. I know that I am already bald. That is not the issue. I keep it buzzed short and don’t try to hide it with any combovers. But two questions still arise:
A) Is it enough to keep the sides short, or do I need to go all the way to cue ball? My wife says that with my big honking nose, my profile would look weird if it was all skin on the sides. She thinks the little bit of color helps break things up and also distracts from the mild sun damage on the top of my scalp. What do you think: keep the side hair or go all the way?
B) Regardless of what I do about the scalp hair, what facial hair style looks best on my face. I am usually clean shaven, but grow it out in the fall for various Halloween costumes. But each year when I shave it back off, I always wonder if I should have kept some of it. Maybe a goatee? Maybe just a thick stubble. (The mustache is still colored, but the beard is grey unless dyed so stubble is so light as to hardly be noticeable.) What should I do with the facial hair? And does it depend on whether I finish off the rest of the hair on my head?

After 8 years, I finally found my holy grail: the Philips Head Pro 5000

I've been shaving my head for over 8 years now, but I never really found the perfect method:

  • Manual razors: Too long and tedious. It never feels completely smooth, so you keep going over the same spots and end up with a scalp full of tiny cuts.
  • Electric shavers: I tried a few different types, but they get really hot and leave my head with a terrible razor burn.
  • Philips OneBlade: Gimmicky at best for a full head shave.
  • Electric hair clippers: This ended up being my go-to choice (a Philips one, solid brand). The shave itself wasn't totally smooth, but the ease and comfort of use won me over. Just 5 minutes in the shower, rinse, and done.

But then, I stumbled upon this post recommending the Head Pro:https://www.reddit.com/r/bald/comments/1w0sot1/10_years_of_testing_electric_head_shavers_for_a/

I thought it was just another gadget, but I was eager to give it a try. I snagged an open-box deal on Amazon, tested it this morning, and... finally! This is it.

It's quick, the shave is smooth, and there is zero razor burn. Solid 9/10 (because nothing is ever perfect).

Sorry, I had to delete the original post cause of a typo in the ttitle

Hairloss Do I have any other option?

Getting haircut tomorrow. Pretty sure I’m about to join the community since my hairline is at THE MIDDLE IF MY HEAD. But just wondering if anyone thinks I have any other options haha. I always had a widows peak but in the past year or two my shit has just pushed so far back. Only in my early 30s unfortunately

I love this sub.

With everything that my body is bad at doing keeping hair seems to be still working. That being said this sub keeps showing up in my feed and I love it. Everybody always seems worried pre trim then looks amazing when they shave. Glow-ups, everybody!

A Good friends with a big beard and long dreads asked me about his balding spots. I told him I have no idea but to come check out this sub. Two days later he showed up with a shaved head. He said that one hour of browsing /bald gave him all the motivation he needed.

So, good hustle /bald

Look good, feel good, play good!

On last post, the comments were about 50-50 split on if I should or not.

I figure I’ll regrow it out if needed, but I think the pictures of before show it was time.

Still feeling anxious about it.

Edit: which glasses look better? Ray Bans or Other

Hairloss Do I Bite The Bullet?

I've been seriously considering it for a while now.

Been on the minoxidil for 9 months. Hasn't been completely useless, has given me some back, but hasn't given anywhere near the result I want either, and isnt doing anything for the front hairline itself. I can cover it with a bit of combing, but it undoes itself after a while, and it's very frustrating.

Truth is I think I already know the answer. But I really am just worried I can't pull it off.

Hairloss Counsel please advise. My hair is longer than usual if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

Which look is better?

I shaved it off last summer and grew it back this year. I have a thinning spot, almost dead middle. Thing is, my hair is so thick within the vicinity you can’t tell. I still have a few years left on it, but the shorter I have it, the worse it looks.
