I work 50 hour weeks, night shift, and have 3 kids that have the other days of the week that I dont work. Sleep is an unnattainable dream

Don’t wish these days away. Someday you will have plenty of time to sleep. For now, trim the beard, get a little sun, and change your shirt.

Yeah I know my hair is passable but I have always hated my hairline. This way I dont have to worry about my hairline lol

Totally valid. When I first shaved my head I found that I liked it a lot more after the first few shaves and getting a bit more color on my scalp for the extra sun exposure. Just be sure you dont burn, that really sucks on the head.

I'm not too far from that myself. But recently I've found that I like looking at my face more when there's a little sun on it. To say nothing of how I feel about others looking at it.

You feel that way because you are fair skinned, and it is a stark change from before. If you want to try a stubble shave - e.g. Jason Statham, you might feel a little less conspicuous, but you look good as is my brother.

This is a big leap! You don't look silly to me. I think your hair was at the point where you could leave it alone for a while longer, or shave it, and if you don't like it let it grow back. The other thing I think is that we redheads often have very light or pale skin, so sometimes the look is hard to imagine unless you just do it. You did that. If you are not comfortable with it, or can't get used to it, then go ahead and let it grow back, and maybe go to a really good barber and try a different cut.

OP I emphasize with you. I used to work the night shift exclusively. Everything was still on day shift. I’ve had that ‘pool room complexion’ for years. Get your rest when you can, and don’t sweat the small stuff. You look great! Like others have said, you’re just not used to being bald yet. Give it a few weeks, and I think you’ll be okay with it. Smile brother. Things will improve!
