I recently made this account hoping to find more folks to talk to about ASMR! This genre has helped me through a LOT over the last decade, and I will procrastinate no longer! I am also very anxious about accidentally breaking a rule in a subreddit and getting kicked so please forgive me. This video contains some wood sounds, lots of crinkling, soft speaking, and some zipper sounds. I would love to check out some other first timer videos too! It makes me feel really emotional to imagine a community of insomniacs that have found each other through embodying gentle noise and movement through video, and I am excited to share my art with you all.

okay so last time i watched it was YEARS ago so i barely remember anything from it but the video itself was a still image and around the first half the guy was talking to you and talking about how background audio can change the setting or something? like at first he was cutting my hair (or maybe it as a robot cutting my hair?) but then i think we were in a diner? and then by the end i was escaping with like 1 or 2 other people and there were alarms blaring and stuff. this is like ALL i remember from the video.

I first experienced ASMR in real life when I was a kid, then, in my teens, misophonia popped up. Now, in college, I noticed something really interesting. Last semester I had a really hard time in class listening to other students type around me. The incessant key tapping was driving me insane and I could not focus or stop crying. Then one day, I zoned out a bit, and the horrible noise suddenly registered as ASMR in my brain. I was suddenly super relaxed and chilled out. I can still do this with typing sounds on command, although if I'm already agitated it's harder to make the switch. It reminds me of staring at those optical illusions and getting the image to change. Misophonia and ASMR must totally run on the same neural pathway. Chewing and any mouth sounds still infuriate me, but I honestly have hope that one day those sounds will switch over to being relaxing. Anyone relate?

I used to watch this asmr channel and I just went through all my playlists and can't find any of their videos! I don't remember their channel name because it was in Japanese (I think, honestly it was an Asian language I don't know) but their whole thing was they would make videos with these little bear characters or sometimes others. Often they would do things like "cleaning your brain" or even "cleaning your teeth" and they would have little sets if that makes sense. They never showed their face, just these little set ups. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Could someone explain to me what this project is? I understand that jojo made like an asmr studio of sorts and there are other asmrtists there to record collabs.

How is this making money? What is the plan? Seems to me jojo invested quite a lot of money into this.

If the latter is true, does anyone know who the actual creator is? I’m so charmed by the way that she interacts with elders in her village, randomly walking up to them and giving them massages or tapping on their shoes or scratching their heads. I’d feel bad if I was just watching stolen content if I could find the original instead.
