Wanted to share this as its another forged dd689 showed up recently.

To make a long story short, had a cmdr send one of my providers a picture of an AI edited profile in which a private forged a sick call slip, giving themselves "120 days no running, jumping, or rucking" and endorsed it with a captains forged stamp and signature, and in thr last 2 months 3 other copy cats, not sure exactly what they expected forging a medical officers signature on an official government document, but ill just say the end isnt fun for them.... anyway ill have a chicken sandwich extra pickles.

I am almost at the end of my process of joining you brothers and sisters, but I had some questions. After my friends joined the military, they started vaping and drinking like crazy. They never really told me why, but a great majority of the personal do. Is the military life stressful?
I don't personally drink or smoke at all. Will I be peer pressured to also drink and vape?

I’m a 68W currently stationed in Germany, and I recently got linked to a potential assignment in Japan. I’m trying to figure out where I would most likely end up before everything gets finalized.
I know Camp Zama is on mainland Japan, while Torii Station is in Okinawa. I’ve heard conflicting things from different people, some have told me that 68Ws going to Japan typically go to Camp Zama and not Torii Station.
Does anyone here have experience as a 68W in Japan or know where 68w mostly end up?

I specifically requested mainland Japan, and told retention “fuck no” if it’s Okinawa. I know some of you will prob say I’m being fucking stupid. I’m just not a small island guy. Just a big island guy ;)

Hey. This question is more geared for someone who is in the legal aspects of things (ideally UCMJ and USC if possible). About a year ago I got a DUI. I was charged under UCMJ. The DUI was on post. I completed all the requirements that the army gave me pertaining to the DUI. I got my article and my Gomar. Yesterday I get a call from U.S. Pretrial Services Officer saying basically I’m being charged federally even tho I was on post and charged under ucmj. I am just confused. How/why this is happening? Is this double jeopardy? It doesn’t make sense to me. Like I understand that if I get my DUI off post, then I would have to deal with Civilian and military repercussions. But I was on post. And I was charged under UCMJ. Not USC. I’m just lost. I thought this was over and done with. I can provide any paperwork that you may need to look at and review. Just lmk please

I have been Active Duty for the better part of 5 years and have never worn my trench coat. I was wondering if this was the same for anyone else.

Which ones can you actually submit for early in your contract, assuming you meet the prerequisites? Looking for current info from people who’ve done it recently.

CAV Week is basically 1st Cavalry Division’s birthday/spirit week. Normal training gets mixed with division-wide competitions, ceremonies, and Cav traditions. This year we’ve had a division run, boxing, weightlifting, a two-gun competition, cook-off, command-team competition, and then the birthday ceremony/cake cutting. Basically a week of Cav pride, competition, and mandatory motivation.

The Uniform is Stetson or PC, PT shirt or BN/BDE unit pt shirt, OCP bottom and boots.

I understand off-post however you have to change back into the regular uniform when when you go to the PX or shopette. We got threaten with summarized ART15 if we get caught for uniform violations

For start he got a month left. Recently just financed a car even though he already had another loan for another car. He recently got an interview for a job a month ago. He has no idea if he got accepted. He told me they will get back with him soon. He moving in with his friends cause all his family is deadbeat I guess. He also got a Motorcycle too. I don't think he got any money saved up whatsoever. He's not married or anything, but I know he got like 20-30k in debt right now and insurance expensive. I just can't seem to get through his head. He's a dumbass and we both 22 years old

So ive had this question burning in the back of my mind but what is the protocol if a soldier was in an accident and got total amnesia? Obviously they would be med boarded but I couldn't imagine how that soldier would feel if they woke up in the hospital and found out that they are a service member. With years of experience.

Like im sure an soon as the medical team realized that the soldier lost all memories, they would notify COC and family members. But after that, the seperstion process. No way in hell they are going to make the soldier go around post with out processing paper work. Maybe an escort at the most but how do they seperate a soldier like that?

So, to my understanding, my Thai jump wings are a foreign badge, of which I'm only allowed to wear a single one.

My Schützenschnur, formally known as the German Armed Forces Badge for Weapons Proficiency... is a cord. It's not actually a badge. It doesn't go centered 1/2 inch above the right breast pocket. It can't.

By regulation, is the only thing stopping me from wearing both of these at the same time semantics? Cause that sucks.

Just like the title says, currently I`m in the process of getting my PR card through marriage in South Korea. Just to give a little background about myself I did my mandatory service ( ROK army ) being a Agumentee to the US Army ( KATUSA, 11B MOS ). I do realize that there is a ongoing issue with immigrantion to the States. So with everything going on I am contemplating to enlist to gain my citizenship.

For PR card holders there are only a handful of MOSs available ( clearance issue ). The 2 MOS that stand out to me are 68W and 11B ( from experience ). I also wanted a skill set that would transition well into civie life. Now the reason I wanted to go with option 4 is fuck it why not? If I`m going to serve might as well live life to the fullest. Before someone says "why dont you just do option 40" I cant due to being a PR card holder. Now I do realise that going to selection isnt a easy thing. Also I want to make sure I have no regrets when I ETS. Embrace the suck but trying to turn obstacles to elevation is the way I`m looking at it.

How cooked am I? I have been staying in shape and I noticed that the Army has changed their PT standards. Back when I was in active service ( 2013 ) my PT scores were always over 300. Please feel free to share any thoughts, comments, maybe a better pipelines. Thank you all for your service!
