How do I get Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4?

You can get started with Android 17 QPR2 Beta 4 today by enrolling your Pixel device. Eligible devices include Pixel 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9a, Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, 10a, Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, 11 Pro Fold, Pixel Tablet series devices. Once enrolled, eligible devices will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to the latest Beta versions. If you were previously enrolled in Android 17 Beta (and have not opted-out), you will automatically receive QPR2 Beta 4 and any future Beta updates.

Important for those currently enrolled in Android 17 Beta:

  • If you prefer to leave the Beta program and receive the public stable release of Android 17, you can do so without wiping your device by opting out and not installing today’s QPR2 Beta 3 update. If you opt-out of the program after installing Beta 4 or any future updates, all user data on the device will get wiped per usual program guidelines. Opting out will trigger a ‘Downgrade’ OTA. Ignore this update and wait for the Android 17 public release instead.

Extreme Charging

Just installed the latest QPR2 beta on my Pixel 11 Pro XL and appear to have lost extreme charging.

Other than reverting back to standard, is there a way to get it back?

Regarding the satellite connection...

Idk if it's due to the latest QPR2 update, but on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, I can't run the satellite demo
even though I'm in conditions that meet the demo's requirements.

For anyone else with the same phone: are you having trouble with satellite connectivity too? 🤔

Phone screen often on in pocket

My phone screen seems to always be on in my pocket. I know it's the tap to wake, but shouldn't that be disabled when the proximity sensor is covered? I can cover it with my hand and the phone will still wake with a touch. I feel every pixel I've had does this. I'll take it out and it's calling my emergency contact or fast forwarding my media player from the lock screen.

Google wallet not working with TalkBack on Pixel 10A

Good evening everyone, this pertains to those users who are who have low vision or are legally blind. For those who are using Google talkback, the Google pay system is currently broken. For those who are not able to see the screen. The issue is this. If I tried to go into the play services to verify my card for the tap pay, I get as far as entering the code, but when I tried to submit the code, it'll crash out and drop me back into my main wallet app and then eventually I'll get the message where it'll say Google Play services keeps stopping. Has anyone else has anyone else run into this issue? If so, how have you guys gotten around it? For those who use TalkBack? In my case because I can see enough, I'm able to hit the buttons that I need and get it taken care of without TalkBack. But for those who use TalkBack primarily and don't have the vision to click buttons where they are, how did you get around this issue?

Is Android Feature Drop ANDROID or just Google apps update

I ask as my Pixel 10 does not have it and actually stuck at Play System July and Security Updates August while Pixel 11 got all those updates

Why no all those updates in just one place?

I counted that there are like 6 different places for Google Pixel updates including System Services and Magic Cue and few more.

[EDIT]

I just learned TWO of those features will be released on iPhone so should be named "Apple / Android Feature Drop"?

I didn't post this in Android reddit as they hate me there because of I spoke the truth in their eyes

QPR2 Beta 4 Pixel 11PXL

My Pixel 11 Pro XL automatically installed the September security update overnight. I opted into the beta program this morning, but when checking for updates, I see the preparing system update prompt for a split second and then it says the device is up to date.

Is it because the September security update is newer than the beta and I have to wait? Or is there some sort of glitch?

I am taking bets - Android 17 QPR1 final today

My points:

Today is first Tuesday of the month = Security update = instead of Security Update = QPR1

Play System stuck on July 2026 and should be updated end of August but it is September.

Pixel 11 cannot show all best features without QPR1

Pixel 11 promos end tomorrow.

Pixel 11 really needs software update the now.

Pixel Buds new Features announced to be in September

Far too many reasons today is the BIG day :)

Anyone there who say no AND has more reasons to say "no"?

How do I opt out of the beta without the data wipe?

I know about how you have to wait for the next major update to release in order to opt out without a data wipe.

I've been waiting for it and it seems like it's out now, how do I do that now ?

Sorry if this is a common question, but I really don't wanna mess this up. My. Current build number is CP31.260508.005. And whenever I try to check for new updates it doesn't work. It could be that I'm on data, but I doubt it.

Do I have to opt back in and update to the latest beta so I can then opt out with the newest stable release?

Thank you for any help.

AOD only showing 1 notification icon in latest beta?

P11 pro, I noticed it only shows 1 notification icon and then just a dot for others on the AOD.

Before this, it would show all of the icons for notifications.

Any way to change this?

Wifi on main networks not working

Downloaded CP41.260814.003.B1 and my wifi stopped working on main wifi networks. I can connect to guest networks with no issue.

I've tried separating my SSIDs, changing the names, changing the passwords, and changing the security protocol.

If the network is open it will connect with no issue but gives me an "incorrect password" when trying to connect to my regular wifi network. I get the same results across different networks and routers.

I enabled my guest network with the same name, password and security settings. It connects to this with no issue.

Complain for (there are no eligible devices associated with this google account

Dear Support Team,

I am facing an issue while trying to enroll my Google Pixel 6 Pro in the Android Beta Program. When I visit the official Android Beta website and sign in with my Google account, the page shows the message:

"There are no eligible devices associated with this Google account."

However, I am currently using a Pixel 6 Pro, which I believe is an eligible device for the beta program. I have verified that:

I am signed in with the correct Google account on both my device and the beta website.

My phone is updated with the latest Android version.

The device is unlocked and not tied to any carrier restrictions.

Despite this, my device is still not being recognized as eligible.

Kindly assist me in resolving this issue so I can participate in the beta program.

Thank you,
