An OC I've been crafting in my head for years, she's a 23 year-old Aussie girl who became the first female to crack a MLB roster (à la Pitch's Ginny Baker) after spending her first two pro years playing in Japan as a relief, then starting pitcher. She is something of a unicorn, having worked tirelessly to pitch with either arm with almost equal effectiveness, including the knuckleball.

Initially thought to have been little more than a publicity stunt, her first season in Japan ended with her being an effective long relief pitcher, from which she progressed to starting duties the following year. Her effectiveness in her new role only increased, mystifying opponents with her penchant to switch pitching sides for each of their at-bats. Working in her knuckleball amongst an impressively long list of pitch selections, she keeps her opponents off-balance despite her lack of relative velocity.

Eventually signed by MLB's Toronto Blue Jays, she spends her first half-season in North America as a long relief pitcher in Toronto's AAA affiliate until she is called up on an emergency basis due to several successive injuries to the Jays' starting rotation. The initial goal by team management is to have her "eat" innings until a trade can be made, however she proves to be an adept starting pitcher at the major league level -- and so plans to trade for a starting pitcher are shelved. So begins her MLB career.

She is an only child, daughter to a single mother in Brisbane with distant French ancestry. She is fluent in Japanese through both her Japanese/Canadian girlfriend and her time playing in Nippon Professional Baseball.

Despite his intimidating armor and reputation in battle, Azurlo is known by villagers as a gentle and warm presence. Children are never afraid of him, and he always removes his helmet when speaking with them so they can see his smile.

Azurlo’s closest companion is Medila, his girlfriend of two years. They grew up together in the same village and knew each other since childhood. While Azurlo is the visible shield, Medila is the quiet mind beside him—elegant, perceptive, and steady. Their relationship grew naturally as they matured, built on years of trust, respect, and understanding.

Together they represent balance while Azurlo have strength, courage, and protection, Medila have wisdom, calm, and quiet insight

Azurlo believes a knight’s greatest duty is not defeating enemies, but protecting the peace that allows others to live happily.
