Most of my concrete understanding of the events in hell in the lore comes from linguini's vid, and I'm not really aware of the exact things he got wrong/oversimplified, so could you like elaborate on the sissyphus part?

İn order to achieve freedom when the Angels temporarily disappeared because god left everything sisyphus made an army to fight for their freedom and defeat the Angels which ultimately didn't succeed

angels don't really use gender the same way humans do, they're all basically genderless but use male terms as a sort of status title in order to become closer to god
gabriel is just as male biologically as V1 is: not really at all
